A new blog post has been added:

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory is a Glorious Nine Years Old!

Splash Damage’s first game Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory was released on this day nine entire years ago, leading us to refer to today internally as WolfenNine (so sorry, guys). As we write this, there have been over 16 million Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory installations, well over half a billion multiplayer matches, countless user-made maps, and a myriad of tournaments and leagues. Mind-boggling numbers all around and much of this is down to all of you guys and gals who are the true life of the game. We can’t thank you enough for your support.

Over the next couple of days, we’ll be rolling out a few bits of content to commemorate Wolf: ET and the community behind it. This includes a very special giveaway you won’t want to miss, so be sure to check back for that.

In the meantime, join us in wishing Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory a very happy birthday. Here’s to the next nine years!

Happy Birthday W:ET.

Yay SD! Happy nine years guys, you trully have taken a potential community at the time and made it more than it would be as a Wolfenstein sequel. I’m glad, really glad that you release the multiplayer part as a standalone game and made one of the biggest contributions a game developer company has made to the competition community, let alone the game community as a hole. Congrats, that made you Grand.

whistle…whistle…cheer…

If we make it to 10 years and keep the player traffic, that will be epic.

And the game is still alive! It has one of the(if not THE) best modding communities out there.
Congrats SplashDamage with this piece of art!

I’m proud to be a part of this.

v57 !

Thank you,SplashDamage for making this game.

The community behind it is very unique.

I had a lot funny moments in and I can’t forget the people who I met in this game.

I can’t also forget my first gameplay in 2003, it was battery map and I was throwing grenades, but I made a lot of teamkills

My first ever game was on Radar, my dad had to choose the team & class for me as I was lost in the limbo menu:D.

Most memorable map is Railgun with my old wireless mouse (I went through 10-20 of these within a few months).
