ET: Legacy is going to have a new renderer and free, high quality (perhaps) textures. And it is fully backwards compatible with 2.60b.

Indeed it feels that way. ETQW although added a lot of improvements(VOIP mainly) did also lose a lot of what had made ET so great a game. Iron-sights, gameplay-critical bugs and lags, lack of custom maps - to name a few. Hope is a bad thing after Brink, nevertheless it’s still lying on the flor crying for medic. v21, I don’t remember…

I’d gladly keep playing ET, but it’s too insecure as a software to touch it with a long stick… Well, I hope DB(why in hell not Enemy Terror, Enemy Torch, Emancipated Tapir, Even Teams, Eleven Telephants, Whatever with “ET” shortcut? How shall we call it? “Let’s play DB”? No way… “Let’s play dirty”? Nope, maybe “let;s play the bomb”? Still not working… Bad name for that everyday language problem, hope only the name is bad is nevertyheless still hesitating about tapping the space.) will have support for years since it’s Splash Damage’s own title.
