i down loaded game said punk buster was not installed? aplsh damage has incompleate et ? files whats up with that ?

This also reminds me of Salteh.
It makes little to no sense, like 75% of Salteh chats.

I’ve moved this post into its own thread as it was previously offtopic (hence Ca9ine’s apparently odd post).

Even Balance, the creator of Punkbuster, no longer supports Enemy Territory; which is likely why you were receiving that error. You should be able to choose to play on servers that have PB turned off. There are other options available for PB/authentication setup, however they’re not officially supported, so you’ll have to google them; or maybe a kind soul on the forum here will provide a link.

Isn’t the installer given by SD full? Or just the full 2.60b install?

You can download PB from http://etkey.org/files/ET_PBSetup-etkey.org.exe

Servers on 2.60b still use punkbuster even though its outdated! It did fix alot of bugs and problems and still serves a great purpose of anticheat when it comes to screenshots and blocking server hack attempts. It also supplys a safe PBkey for admin levels even though silent already supplys it own.

you can also download the last working zipped pb directory here.
just unzip it and replace what you have.
