Wolf:ET map overlay issue

There are new drivers that were released today. Has anyone tried them to see if they fix the map overlay bug with ET Pro? I attempted to ask on the the bani forums but something is broken w/ the account registration feature.

FWIW I have verified that this isn’t an etpro bug, since I can reproduce it in plain OpenGL. See http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=18028

If nvidia chooses not to fix this, we do have a workaround for the next etpro version.

The new drivers do not fix this issue.

When I tried the first version with the new Nvidia control panel (I forget the version), my custom refresh rates were vanishing for no apparent reason. This is unacceptable in my case, so I rolled back to 81.98, which I chose simply because they are the latest 8x.xx drivers approved by Futuremark for 3DMark06 on 6-series cards (any stamp of approval is better than nothing). They appear to be perfectly stable, and no ETPro issues. For 7-series card owners, Futuremark approves version 84.21. Futuremark only approves WHQL drivers.

Also got this bug (PCI-e 6800 GT and AMD 64 3500+ as well). Already reinstalled ET countless times now - glad to know that I’m not the only one. :moo:

hmmm, has anyone had that prob with Win2000 ??
2K still uses the old control panel, I think it might be part of the new panel being Vista compatible

If anyone here is a registered member of the ETPro forums (http://bani.anime.net/etpro/) I would appreciate it if someone could message a mod for me and find out why my application for forum membership is broken. I’m trying to register with the name “tangles” if that helps. I sent an email using the “contact adminstrator” link but haven’t heard anything for four days.

wolf, you can’t use free email at etpro, but there is a new etpro that fixes the problem,
as for the new nVidia panel, the probs seem to start with the release of the new control panel, the old one is still available though
I don’t have an XP comp to test on, so I can’t be sure

i didn’t use a free email to register. i just used it in this forum because i didn’t want to give out my other one.

also, i see the beta version that fixes the command map bug, but my problem with that is my favorite servers that i play on won’t update etpro with the beta :frowning:
