Wolf Et and Mac OSX 10.8.2, will not work

Hello All.

I have a slight problem. I bought a 17" Macbook Pro (Late 2011). I am able to install the game but when I try to play it, the sound goes crazy but no video. I have to wail about a minute for the game to timeout and give me an error.

I tried manual instructions that I found on the internet that say to do the following:

1. Download Wolfenstein Enemy Territory 2.60d (http://downloads.aaxxss.com/files/WolfET.2.60d.dmg)

2. Drag the Wolfenstein ET folder to your Applications folder.
3. Run the punkbuster installer.
4. Download a punkbuster etkey (http://etkey.org/)
5. Put the etkey in the following location: ~/Library/Application Support/Wolfenstein ET/etmain
6. In ~/Library/Application Support/Wolfenstein ET/etmain/ create a file: "autoexec.cfg"
7. Paste the two lines of this file:

seta r_colorbits "32"
set r_allowExtensions 0

8. Run ET.

TIP:
Set screen resolution via the following commands in the game console (press ~ after launching the game to view game console):

/r_customwidth XXXX
/r_customheight XXXX
/r_mode -1

This fixed the sound issue but still will not load the game. It still gives me an error and closes. My computer specs are as follows:

I found a fix that works for me. The program was installing all the files in the /Library folder instead of the ~/Library one. Instead of creating the folder above i copied all the files from the /Library folder over. The files that are in the ~/folder is as follows:

Autoexec.cfg
campaigncycle.cfg
decription.txt
etkey
Imscycle.cfg
mp_bin.pk3
objectivecycle.cfg
pak0.pk3
pak1.pk3
pak2.pk3
punkbuster.cfg
qagame_mac
server.cfg
stopwatchcycle.cfg
video “folder”

You may not need all of these files but this works for me. I hope that this helps others fix this as well. Thanks
