i just got my new system with nForce 2 on it and i have a new logitech 5.1 surround setup. I have it hooked up with the SPDIF cable and only get sound from the Front-left & right surrounds when i play ET. But when i used the 3 analog cables i could at least get sound from all the speakers.
Do i have to hook-up the analog cables to get sound from all speakers or is this still possible with SPDIF?

You should be able to get 5.1 channel sound using the SPDIF out. However, ET does not support surround sound, so your surround speakers will only duplicate the main speaker sounds. What settings have you selected in the nForce speaker setup control panel?
in the nForce control panel i have it set for:
6 speakers
dolby digital encoding *enabled
create center channel *enabled
create LFE Channel *enabled
if i watch DVDs or listen to music i get sound from all spekers, but only when i play ET it cuts the 2 surrounds.
. i had to turn off the dolby digital encoding
Useing Creative Insp. 6.1 atm and it had the same problem
