Wish you told us the game doesnt work on ATI cards

(hailey) #1

What a waste of money this was. How hard would it have been to alert the public that the game is virtually unplayable on ATI cards?

(Mycologist) #2

I own a 5850 and I’m having a great time. Think before you post.

(Deadbeat836) #3

game is broken. period.

(Starman0) #4

I own a 6850 and the game is literally UNPLAYABLE because of lag, and many others are having this same problem. Think before you post. You don’t represent everyone.

(San_Pedro) #5

Try rolling back your driver to 11.4

Some people on steam forums reported that fixed the problem.

(Sheza) #6

Well obviously this is a technical issue, so obviously a patch will be released.

(SphereCow) #7

I can’t even load the game. : P Dual 9800m GTX.

(Achromatis) #8

I dearly hope Im not the only one seeing the irony here.

(Lemur) #9

You’re not.

(x^inf.) #10

ATI 5750
Tried the Catalyst 3D defaults fix - didn’t work.
Comp crashes everytime I try to connect to online servers.
Even with all settings on low @ 800x600, terrible visual glitches everywhere.
I’ve only been able to play the challenges, but its nearly unplayable.
Haven’t tried rolling back drivers yet. Ill post if it works

(Mercuricdrake) #11

I am using a 5850 with the 10.13 drivers and the game works great for me.

(perochialjoe) #12

ATI HD 5870

150 fps on the menu, 3 fps on the server browser.

60 fps indoors, 20 fps outdoors.

My fps range is exactly the same no matter what resolution I play at (1920x1080 or 800x600) and regardless if I am using minimum settings or maximum.

It looks like that

With the performance I get you’d think it was Crysis 4 or something.

Server browser gives me constant 1 fps

I can’t believe how awful and broken it is. Did you test this at all? Did you know it was such garbage and sell it anyway?

(Warbucks) #14

Are you running the catalyst 10.5a hotfix drivers?

They fix some issues with Brink.

It’s probably a typo, but that should be version 11.5a.
The hotfix can be found here.

This is basically my FPS almost exactly…

I’m using an ati 5830.

This game needs a patch QUICK! IGN gave it a 6.0 and now it doesn’t work with half the markets line of graphics cards!

yes im using 11.5a, and no they don’t do anything

(xTriXxy) #18

this thread reminds me black ops…

(hailey) #19

It’s worse than black ops. I own it and I complained about its performance too but this is a thousand times worse in comparison. It’s unplayable

(Squeesher) #20

Despite what it says in the 11.5a hotfix notes, for some people it seems those actually make the problems worse. All I can say is it’s running fine on 11.5 without the hotfix on my HD5850 and Core 2 Quad Q9650 rig w/ settings maxed. For those that don’t get an FPS increase when lowering the resolution it tends to be a CPU bottleneck, and Brink seems to tax the CPU heavily.

Try to remember that none of us can speak for the whole community and saying things like “virtually unplayable on ATI cards” is overstating the issue quite a bit. Yes, there are quite a few posts by people having problems with ATI cards, but most people who aren’t having issues don’t have any reason to post, so that kind of makes the problem seem bigger than it really is (and I’m not saying there isn’t one). For now try rolling back your graphics card drivers as some have suggested, and if you want to actually help work toward a resolution to this I’m sure the developers would like if you followed their sticky on reporting a problem. Hang in there! :penguin:
