map works bots routes are complete just some problems with the objectives.

Stealth did you make the bases then copy it and change textures? just wondering because your speed on this map is impressive

(Cambodunum) #45

… ill bet he’s using some kind of cheat xD
… im still not done with my “little” changes

(stealth6) #46

lol, I made 1 half of the map completely all detail tested lighting etc…

then I copy it and rotate it 180 degrees (that’s the best way to make a balanced ctf map, or mirror it i some cases.

then change the textures. But I think I am just a fast worker lol I know like a ton of the radiant hot keys, so that speeds it up ALOT
but what do you expect after the amount of time I have spent on these forums

(Cambodunum) #47

hmm … the hotkey im using mostly/mainly is “ctrl+z” xD
… i think ive become a real professionell by using this

(stealth6) #48

lol ye i use that one alot too
but also for example
ctrl - D (filter detail)
ctrl - shift - D (filter structural)
ctrl - U ( Merge )
middle mouse button on a brush ( select texture )
ctrl - alt - middle mouse button ( Apply selected texture )

Those 2 speed up texturing things alot!

ctrl - tab change 2D view
ctrl - middle mouse in 2d view - bring camera to cursor
middle mouse in 2d view change camera view to where cursor is pointing
v - vertexes
e - edges
scroll wheel zoom in - out (2D) sprinting in 3D :stuck_out_tongue:

all small things, but when you apply a texture 1000 times, then kinda saves you ALOT of time :stuck_out_tongue: etc…

(Cambodunum) #49

ctrl - U ( Merge )
middle mouse button on a brush ( select texture )
ctrl - alt - middle mouse button ( Apply selected texture )

… these ones are awesome
… gonna try later xD

ctrl - middle mouse in 2d view - bring camera to cursor
middle mouse in 2d view change camera view to where cursor is pointing

… good to know xD
… it think youve made my life a little bit easier xD

(Commando66) #50

i happen to know every single one of these, except mabye specific filtering but still, im a bit of a slow worker, mabye its because im creating from scratch out of imagination, of over complex-modern settings without some prefabs on player size, doors windows etc

(stealth6) #51

lol, I am very bad with planning for this map I just made a room, then I made another room attatched to it with a small staircase, then I thought I’d make a T-junction with a tunnel, and it just kind of took off from there, freestyle.
