Windows XP64Bit, ATI 9800PRO, Punkbuster Problems

Ok, this will be a little lengthy but I would greatly appreciate some info from you guys into the problem Im currently having.

Ok, Im running a Beta Version of Windows XP 64 BIT (lets not get into all the flaming about how I shouldnt be running it, its causing my problems etc etc pls), with a ATI 9800PRO for the video card.

Now the Radeon BETA drivers for XP64 dont have working opengl support, what you need to do is simply extract the atioglxx.dl_ from the WIN32 release of the catalyst driver set, and expand it, and simply over-write the atioglxx.dll in the WOW64SYS directory under Windows 64BIT.

ET boots up perfectly, and ive run numerous timedemos, and i get ~10fps improvement, so this is all good news, but here comes the problem

When I connect to any Punkbuster enabled server, after about 2 minutes I get kicked from the server, and PB gives an error message along the lines off “OpenGL32.dll has found a problem” or something like that, im just wondering what I can do to get rid of this, as I have heard people are running ET on XP64Bit on Radeon cards no problems at all, is there something I am doing wrong?

I imagine PB is kicking me because it thinks im hacking the opengl with modified dll files for wall hacking or something of the sort, but the atioglxx.dll file i am using is from a released Catalyst Version, so I dont see why it should cause a problem?

System specs are as follows if it helps at all
CPU: AMD64 3700
Mobo: MSI K8N Neo Platinum
Ram: Corsair TWINX3200PROXL
Video: Radeon 9800PRO 128MB

If anyone could help out, it would be appreciated, I carnt run WinXP32bit, cause ET keeps locking up for like 3 seconds at a time every minuteish, and its annoying as, this doesnt happen under 64bit

Hmm, I don’t know an answer.
But as far this is punkbuster related you should also post at the pb-forums.

Watch yourself mate - you could be one of the first people to experience an internet wide ban on ‘PinkBuster’ :open_mouth:
