windows 7 guid problem

Tried all of the advice here but am still getting no guid message.
Any advice?

What means “tried all of the advice” exactly?
Did you read the News/Thread concerning cancelled ET-Support of PB already?

Dont know what exactly means “all of the advice”…
But I suggest you to:
Visit http://etkey.org/ ,
download an etkey and place it in
User->AppData->Local->Punkbuster->ET->etmain (create the folder if it not exists)
The folder is, by default, hidden.

I downloaded the key and it looked like it was going to work
then I got Error(ui_mp_x86.dll failed Pure Server Check)
Any suggestions?

You have ET under Windows 7 in Program Files?

If yes, I guess ET can’t extract the DLLs or let the servers read them?

Do you have the same error if you start it as admin?

ET is in Users\downloads
do I need to copy it to program files
am I in the wrong directory for it to operate?

No, under 7 the Program Files folder is over-protected, which make old games like ET berserk. It’s fine as it is, even if a clean folder would have been better.

Is it accepted by your firewall?
