i hate to say it, but i’m giving vinwns a point for that post. this paragraph made me begin to sympathize:

It seems as though this is because I did not somehow suck-up to you first, and you and your little group of antagonists think that you are in some way the rightful kings of these forums, so anyone coming here to post, even if what they are saying is similar to what you post, has no right to unlesss they first try to make a friend out of you and pay homage to you, as if they have to earn from you the right to make statements like yours, lest they be flamed and called bad names with vulgar language. even when I have made statements similar to yours about cheaters, you follow my posts to flame me, as if only you are worthy of making an observation about the subject. Kendle, in truth, there are probably a great many people who know what a cheater, like autoaim, looks like than you. And yet, to you it is somehow acceptable for you to make comments about cheaters, but when make any similar to yours, it was a crime against you - Forum King and Ruler of All Knowlege of the Subject of Cheating and Not Cheating. If it is something from your own personal experience, it is the truth, but if I say it, it is the ramblings of a “noob”, idiot, and much much worse.

…because i’ve seen that kind of elitist behavior on many forums, particularly in the false-machismo-riddled gaming world. not that i’d seen it from kendle, but i could see how vinwns might feel he was being treated that way. he does appear to have been pounced upon by a lot of folks around here and at the etpro boards, and rain even went so far as to create a custom sig dedicated to slamming him (i <3 rain, but it’s still a little sad).

then, i was suddenly transported back to my childhood, and could hear my mothers voice saying what she always said when i began to pout and feel sorry for myself:

in other words, vinwns is playing the martyr, and therefore lost my sympathy.

fact is, you’re dealing with a smart cookie, albeit one who flies completely off the deep end the majority of the time. i get the feeling vinwns has a need for drama, and tends to amplify everything tenfold in order to create that drama.

Anyone can see he’s read up on those troll guide links that were kindly posted - those things he’s used in the post are just props that allow him to gush [bad name].

I have to admit I was nearly crying with laughter at some of it, but this is SD’s forum and his behaviour isn’t appropriate - like a drunk at a party.

One final correction:
You refer back to your original thread about cheating, where you were flamed for, among other things, claiming you saw “1 or 2 cheaters on every few servers”. At that time, cheats were quite rare in ET, and nearly unhead of in RTCW. This was confirmed by PB logs, PB screenshots, searching cheater sites on the net, and experiences of skilled players. Things have changed, there are a lot more now, so using the current state of things to justify your old posts is not valid. Even at that time, the sensible people said only that they had not seen many cheaters not that cheating was impossible or did not exist. I leave you with a couple quotes from wils around the first time you got banned:

Someone is unfamiliar with the concept of relativity…

1. It’s true that most members dislikes you (because of all the crap you post) and flames every lie of yours.
2. The owners of the forum banned you several times and asked you not to come back.
3. You said you don’t even play ET anymore.

I can’s really see the attraction of coming to this forum unless you are a troll.

Of course, a demo of someone proning won’t help, because the only thing that connects the hitbox and the animation is the fact they are triggered by the same command. Jumping is not well represented either, both because of the way the animation is done and the g_smoothclients bug that I discovered.

So if either of these ‘hacks’ were to be demonstrated, it would have to show that the actual hit detection was affected. The most logical way to do this would be to identify the flaw in the code that is being exploited.

Since Ironman seems to doubt my credentials on technical matters, I would ask how many bugs he has discovered looking through the ET source code. I can point to exactly where prone happens… can you ?

Finally, the animation you see watching yourself in thridperson is often different from what you would see watching someone else, and demo playback also has it’s share of unique wierdness too.
