Will heal for ammo.

I play medic almost 90% time and not RamboMedic, just medic, to give support fire, cover and not die, heal everyone, keep advancing without waiting for respawn.

What already works with medics is that even in pub servers, if you go to 1st XP place with 3 frags/map, people understands you are there to heal and stop counting on you to go ahead and stop bullets.

However something went wrong. Every Fld Op thinks you heal him for ammo. Damn God! cover me and yourself while I lose my gun to heal you, don’t lose your gun to give me ammo until I’m armed again and can cover both of us!

Is there a simple way of explaining this apparently strange alien concept with little text in game?

In UrbanTerror there was the same thing. People looked at me when I bandaged them, I had a bind “Don’t look at me! Cover me while I heal you.”

“Wait with the ammo, cover us first”?

Hmm, nice bind. Now I think I’ll bind some more msgs.

“Please cover us while I heal you”
“Don’t die until last second” (usually “I’m a medic” works for this)

And in the engineer cfg

“Whoever put the 10 mines in some useless godforgotten corner, go pick them up”

I didn’t do this before because I assumed no one reads it anyway.

Oh jesus please don’t remind me of the “Hang on lads I have no idea how the fuck we’re gonna get out of spawn” experiences. Jesus wept…as the apostles were useless and over enthusiastic mine planters.

And the Lord did look down from on high and lo did say onto the apostles, “You lads are the most stupid bastards I have ever friggin’ come across”.

I didn’t do this before because I assumed no one reads it anyway.

It seems like nobody read the messages at the bottom of the screen in-game.

An audible notification (like a radio beep) would be a good idea, so people are alerted that someone is speaking.

That would make the msg spams really “interesting”.

Bind “no cover no medz” as a name change;)
So it doesnt annoy others, just who looks at you.
