Why this game is dead in the water...

(lowkeyPlot) #1

Hackers… Theres no VAC, you can’t even report people in game… Do you really expect even 10% of your playerbase to care enough to go online and fill out forms to report people?

As developers you need to make it easy for people to report hackers and you need tools to review the games in which those reports were made. Honestly I don’t think the devs realize how badly hacking can cripple a game, especially an F2P game. It’s a huge issues that has literally caused players to quit CSGO, and CSGO has vac, overwatch, and costs $15.

To be honest it doesn’t even matter though, without a price tag on the game hackers will come back with new accounts over and over again. Getting to level 5 for competitive is nothing. There needs to be some major changes to deal with this or it’s going to become a larger and larger issue.

(Szakalot) #2

fortunately, a repeating hacker will have access to only a small portion of the game, so it hopefully will get boring for them quickly enough.

(Ghosthree3) #3

It’s not?

(MuhQ) #4

Yep hackers are massive issue, before they promote the game more, they should do something about hackers, I play this game over 300 hours and I love it but if the hackers keep ruining my games I’m not gonna just stay and get rekt…

Also hes right the reporting thingy is too difficult, I was red mad today because hacker was ruining our matchmaking game and I wanted to report but its just too much work, same thing for my friend, he also though it was too much work to report hacker…

Hurry up before many players leave :frowning:

I have to agree with a point that Szakalot, given a cheater gets banned they’re always going to be missing out on a lot of content that other players who’ve invested time and money into the game are going to be able to enjoy.

You’ll see less hackers walking around with mercs that require a purchase then you would legit players that’s pretty much a given. Personally I think fairfight is one of the better cheater detection programs. I’m willing to be a little lenient and wait for Nexon on this issue because I’m sure they’ll deliver and I undrstand the game is only within its own infancy.

(god1) #6

I just saw a level 16 dude blatantly aimbotting the other day. So much for that.
The thing is, reporting via support/email whatever third party stuff you have to go through is too much effort for most people, especially since the hacker can just come back with a fresh account in 15 minutes after the ban.

(Nail) #7

make 5 headshots in a row = 10 NX
fixed

(angelicJet) #8

At least let us report in-game, this needs to be patched in ASAP, even if just to deter some of the cheaters.

It really is ruining an amazing game and i fear if this goes on for long everyones going to abandon the game.

(Eox) #9

SD is working on the issue as far as I know. Player reports in game should be implemented sooner or later, and I have heard about Xigncode being dumped. @MissMurder : can you confirm this please ?

Hopefully it’ll not turn the game into the insane reportfest that is known as league of legends (well, how much would you bet it’ll actually turn into this ?).

Idk where u guys find all those cheating dudes, so far i played over 70 hours since open beta a not a single hack was spotted

(vivaciousCanteloupe) #11

Like Antelope asked, where do you find so many cheaters? I have been playing around 200H on EU servers and seen next to none!

Those are probably much more common in comeptitive matchmaking, where you expect players to be much better than in pubs, and you also get the benefit to have a rank. So sneakier cheats, with a bit more flair.

Outside of bragging rights, theres anything else u get from competitive play atm?

Nothing as far as I know. Players oftenly playing competitive may tell otherwise.

OK, ty i guess i will stick with my casual servers i guess, i dont feel like playing with 150+ ping for nothing

@MissMurder SA Competitive servers <3

(Bangtastic) #16

Either I was lucky that I havent met one but in my experience in closed beta were more real hackers^^

But I noticed that frustrated players accuse other ppl of cheating only because they are little bit better. I think in 80% of the cases the suspected “cheater” simply aims more on the head or is better overall.

Like in other games, players who are little bit better than the average will be called cheater.

(Impeccable Lemon) #17

Out of all the games I’ve played I’ve had two aimbotters. One on my team, one on the other. Both were chaining together ludicrous headshot streaks and getting absolutely massive scores.

So, two out of a few hundred games is not bad at all, considering.

(Lautréamont) #18

90 hours in and I think I saw 4 cheaters, plus good player like Tom from pkd being called a cheater by a majority . Being able to do multiple head-shots in a row is not cheating. If you have a doubt, switch to spectate and follow the guy before you make an assumption.

(reliableTortoise) #19

actually the people who dont understand the mechanics of the game in ranked is far more frustrating than the hackers the tutorial needs an overhaul and needs to be a mandatory requirement b4 a new player can get into a pub game so they can learn the mechanics of the game and not run around like a headless chicken

(angelicJet) #20

Guys, we’re not talking about the “oh wow that sniper got 2 headshots in a row while jumping, must be hax”.

We’re talking about the rhino that stands still in the middle of the map instant snapping to anyone at any distance with 0 spread on the minigun, sniping everyone with permanent headshoots, if all 5 people rushed from every single side he’s instantly headshooting everyone in less than a second.

We’re talking about the idiots who are ruining the game, being obvious about it and even admitting to be doing so because nothing is happening to them.
