Just played 2 ranked matches and the team surrendered both times within 6 mins on Underground…WHY?

Can we make Surrender 100% team vote or disabled until 2nd round or preferably removed altogether.

We were attacking and planted twice and c4 was defused twice…we were holding our own pretty much…would have been a good contest. I don’t get why people give up so easily. It’s not uncommon to take some time to blow the 1st obj and then you blow the 2nd really quickly or when the swap happens the other team finds it just as hard and a great contest ensues.

You wait in the queue for up to 10 mins to join a match then they just surrender… So0o frustrating.

Yes I can play in groups and do frequently and thus have the balance of power in votes but occasionally you just want to play on your own. OFC you get randoms of various levels of skill, that’s the game. I can handle losing but to surrender so easily i don’t understand.

I also play a lot games with 5 friends, but the 5 player pool can take 20+ mins to find a match and you end up playing the same team all the time.

The surrender vote is getting abused to save their rank levels I guess, but they are not gaining anything from it either…except wasting the time of others.

If you can’t handle losing play Objective.

Oh p.s. Make an Execution ranked!!!

Me and the boys are constantly looking for good 5v5 games, next time you and your mates are keen on a 5er hit me or dox up. We normally duo until one of the asian teams can/will get 5 together, would be nice to vs someone different for once.

I wish they didn’t even make Execution at all, but thankful shoe. already said Stopwatch is the only mode for ranked.

i only agreed to surrender only if its 1v5

2v5 is still fun for me to play

also, do surrenders get ranked points?
if yes, we need it to make it not earning ranked points

ive had this happen to me we had to defend for 10 mins on chapel when ev was on the corner by the chapel.
all of a sudden I hear the vote noise and 4 instant yeses and the game was over :frowning: we could of easily defended it.

Went 3v5 on ranked today

Managed to push the EV 1/4 way until the bridge.

Better lost than surrender fam, losing with dignity than surrendering with shame

You guys are missing what the surrender vote is actually for.
Clearly imbalanced games, where a forfeit would be much preferred to waiting through 12 minutes of spawn camp only to lose a game.

Yes, people can vote to surrender at bad times. No, surrendering shouldn’t be penalized because of it. People can be stupid at times, but the current system works as it should.
It’s just a game, and it’s supposed to be fun, even in ranked. It shouldn’t be taken so seriously. I don’t personally consider spawn camping an enemy team fun either.

only allow surrender if team size is mismatch

Had a match where our team wanted to surrender and I was like… “screw that, we can still win this.” The game was still early on and we did end up winning. It was a close game, which is exactly what you’d want out of a balanced match.

I know people who complain that it is unbalanced as soon as they start losing, even if they are only slightly losing, and occasionally they even win those same matches they were complaining about being stacked towards the enemy team. Its pretty dumb.

But yeah… I agree, people are just too quick to give up.

That isn’t the smartest idea in conjunction with their current system that can max out at quite a broad criteria. I have personally had games where my own team is 5 Gold Officer+ and the enemy team’s highest rank is Silver Recruit. Taking away the option for them to surrender is absurd.

Having played with Snake a lot, I fully agree. There’s even been matches where him and I were on the same team and the opposite team screamed “nice stack” and shit like that. Turns out, they end up winning sometimes. I’ve also been in matches where the team I’m on are losing until the last few seconds of the first objective, and then we wipe the other team and complete the next objectives with ease.

As for ranked, I’ve seen a few teams surrender when it just isn’t necessary. I always thought the whole team had to vote for a surrender for it to happen, but guess not. I’m glad I haven’t been on any surrendering teams yet!

@STARRYSOCK Im not missing it the peeps that call the vote are lol I have surrendered intentionally in the second round when there is absolutely no chance of victory so I can get into another match. What i’m upset about is surrendering in the first 5mins of the first half just because the start wasn’t perfect. What I most dislike is the team can surrender when all team players don’t vote yes.

Granted I only have about 30-40 ranked matches, but I haven’t seen anyone surrender unless like that unless the team was being absolutely stomped. So I suppose it doesn’t really happen that much

I play most games of where teamates are really bad (got demoted to a bronze because of it).

I count them all as 2v5 or sometimes even 1v5

Agree, especially when you get twice as much points than top2 teammate and the you get the demotion for being bad lol
