Why lots of testers complain about bad aim?
Mercs are not intended to be balanced for 1vs1 combat, they’re meant to balanced for what they bring to at 5vs5 Stopwatch Match as a whole package.

Balancing individual elements in isolation won’t achieve that.
What’s to stop an entire team going the best fragging merc(s)? I play medic because I enjoy the class, but constantly find myself low on the kill sheet and sheer length of average life span. Do you think the frustration of dying easily and constantly against the likes of the soldier class will drive people to those classes more? I can usually spot the pattern of players/mercs when I play.

Game is full of “Best fragger” class, everytime you balance the game.

Currently I’d say a good player can frag with most mercs. Everyone has their preferred choice, but there’s a pretty decent balance for the majority atm.

We aim to make a mixed team always more effective than 5 of the same Merc. This isn’t TDM, there are many different roles to fill.

Similarly to how a team full of hard-carries in Dota (or 11 strikers in football etc.) will usually fail to beat a more balanced team.

If we find that 5x one character is overly effective towards winning (which we will, more than once) then we need to rebalance the game. The important thing is getting the tools for doing so in place when we go public.

 1. if you add a switch merc rule for 1v1 matches, you could balance the desirable ratio in soldier/medic soldier/fops etc fights.
 2. if you make 3 distance maps (short, mid, long) that would surely help for balancing spread and fall of damage
 3. and lets not forget about hit registration/ghost hitting/netcoding tests,

small 1v1 is the best way for this, imo.
