I’m done too. Beta has been out for a way too long and I have lost all hope for DB.

BUT I really hope that Splash Damage next game will be better and beta period will last less than a year.

Any advices what fps should I try next? Not a big fan of Cowwaduuty and Battlefield.

Well i can’t really blame you, personally i just did a few months ago what you did, take a long break from the game. I was really fed up with it and the recent nerfs (well at that time) to snipe jumping and killing sparks really killed it for me.
Currently it’s a week since i’ve started playing it again everyday, so yeah right now the fun is back. I just hope i won’t need to take another break eventually.

CS: GO is complete shit. Honestly one of the worst FPS games I’ve played.

I play Civ 5 (haven’t gotten around to 6 yet) when I feel like relaxing or when eating and playing. Though DB is definitely my main.

A good question is, does Splash Damage even care about bringing back players that have moved on (for x, y, z reason)?

SteamChart reports a rise in numbers after six months in decline. I see new players coming on board and welcome them, but how many of the new ones are “smurfs” of older players testing their “advantage”?

Not sure we have that much smurfs ( I am one since MOFO and I am spotted on almost every game (or hackused)). We have a lot of new players but I believe we notice them more cause vets are gone. I am pretty sure a lot of vets came back after MOFO and stayed for a couple of weeks. It looks like we mostly have clueless new players now.
Yesterday, I played a game with 5 LVL 1 Skyhammers. I had not seen that for months.
I was seriously considering quitting this week end but well… I guess I can’t find a game that suits me a well as DB.

Nah I play at difficulty 6 & 7 depending on how much I want to tryhard.

This needs more love!

Also, for me, this game is funny! The voice commands are out of this world good! They crack me up even after 700+ hours in the game. There’s nothing quite like it: “I could be on a beach right now” or “Born to suffer” etc. It gives the mercs depth and personality. When I’m joyful, I roleplay as Kira, when I’m sad, I play as Thunder. On the rare occasion I get laid, I roleplay as Phantom “I bring sexy front, eh .)”

I feel so much love and passion and commitment from the Devs thx to the superb voiceacting.

But yeah, let’s be frank:
“The gameplay is incredibly satisfying.
The development is incredibly frustrating.”

That’s why I rarely play nowadays :frowning:

I just checked the forum to see if there are any news about the dedi servers that were promissed in this very forum two years back, and then were “replaced” by the private matches.

To me this is not, but remotely resembles, a lie… + in my (and only my) oppinion it is one of the main reasons why people are giving up on this game.

As one can read in this thread. It`s not about the gameplay which is great, and not so much about this update or that… A community can get along with this. But to become a community you need a place where you can do so.

Hell, I would not need XP and trinkets an stuff at all on a dedicated server - so no one could expliot the game (who wants to farm this cards anyhow?!) - if only I had the püossibility to host a server like in BRINK or any SD game before.

I sometimes wonder, the devs even read this forums. There is an extra SD forum, and I am pretty sure, this form is modded by nexon staff that do not even sit at the same table as the devs.

I personally do not find what MissMurder wrote to be anything close to being a lie. She simply stated that private/dedicated servers are important. No promises were made. No plans were explained.
I can imagine that some people felt some thing was implied or simply assumed some things, but again I see no real promises/plans presented. I just see a simple statement.
I think she was just trying to provide support and give facts with what she could.
