i can still feel the feeling when i realized i fugged up with buying these boostas.
when the booster dissapear and gave me a shitty thunder card, the next day i got cool phantom card without the booster. and the next day, and the next day too, and the next day after that.
maybe im lady luck loves me. but then i saw the forum everybody talking about how they suddenly got cards without the booster faster than when they have the boosters.
Good on yo sir. I love this game but I also took about 5 months off DB and missed the whole summer squash thing, etc. But its cool not much happened anyway. The last major update in November was a bit disappointing but hey better than nothing. With dwindling player numbers I really hope SD is doing things to revitalise this game by next year I guess.
The gameplay is incredibly satisfying.
The development is incredibly frustrating.
certainly feel no need to come on the forums and stamp my feet, call the devs liars and theives, and of course then threaten to quit playing (a free game).
Sorry, I just find it sad

You should learn the difference between a threat and an explanation why someones stops playing a game.
He isn’t threatening anyone. Threatening would look different.
Oh and, he never stated what SD lied in the first post. Deceiving things and lying aren’t the same things.
SD is deceiving things. We don’t know on what they’re working, or on what they’re not working. And when stuff people want or reported for a long time finally comes out or gets fixed. PMM was announced a while ago. We don’t know anything about it r when it comes out.
The rest was written by the others above. ReV boosters or “We learned what you want from past events”.
4 Trinkets are pretty lame even compared to previous events and the fact that SD “learned”.
You know why they don’t tell us everything? Cause we get hyped or we complain about it, then it drops and people complain more.
I’m surprised SD hasn’t shut it down and just try to make something else with the same movement and firefights, but with just 5 classes you can customize and sell that for 20 bucks
The manner some concerns and opinions are stated aside, I think that is one of the points a lot of people are frustrated with. We dont know if that what we say is really heard. I cant remember how often players asked e.g. for pub 5vs5 servers or at least wanted to know a reason why there are non. Often there are discussions going on about problems which scream for some official input and no community manager sets things straight, which then leads to bad atmosphere.
I understand, that they cant comment on everything, due to time restrictions or maybe things are not yet planned out enough. But I dont think leaving a community alone in a vibe that gets worse and worse by the day without some information to the questions and topics that are discussed is a good idea. It will make things just worse.
Sadly, what the OP said about the dev videos is true. The community issues they address in there are always matchmaking, performance issues and game not starting with always the same answers that dont contain any real information. Some other community issues with some straighter answer would be great for a change.
The people here love this game and I bet most are more then willing to cut SD some slack if stuff takes longer or dont work right away. But for that, they need to know whats going on. On the one hand side, the game is called a Beta and because of that we shouldnt expect that everything works or all features are included. But on the other hand side, it just isnt a Beta for the players, because we are not included in whats going on. It just feels like a incomplete buggy game. The test weekend for dockyard and gallery or the CMM tests made this feel like a real Beta. Yeah, people complaint about CMM not working. But you have idiots everywhere.

Deceive
[dih-seev]
verb (used with object), deceived, deceiving.
1.
to mislead by a false appearance or statement; delude:
Lie
[lahy]
verb (used without object), lied, lying.
5.
to speak falsely or utter untruth knowingly, as with intent to deceive.
verb (used with object), lied, lying.
7.
to bring about or affect by lying (often used reflexively):
You can by all means open up another thread if you want to discuss about semantics, but in practical, everyday speech deceiving is a synonym for lying, thats extremely moot point to try cling on that. SD has done none of the above.
Saying “we don’t know on what they’re working, or what they’re not working” is complete bogus too. They state in their developer videos as much as is needed to know for front-end users like us; CMM, Ranked, ironing out the issues raised by MoFo update (that seem mostly to be caused by Nexon AC anyway) and Dockyard.
If you don’t want to take those dev videos as that, it’s all in your right to do so and not believe it. Much like in same way as you can choose not to believe parliament/government don’t actually work on things they discuss about produce. It doesn’t make it untrue that they’re working on them, you just choose not to trust it.
Following that comparison, they obviously have their own internal sessions and work “behind the scenes” too and thats just how things work. Mostly because (in well functioning systems) those sessions go into such detail a so called “layman” has absolutely zero need to know it in that form, because they wouldn’t understand it anyway. Thats why there is then media and other informative sectors that “digest” the information into form that is understandable and contains all the necessary. Heck it might even be detrimental to “know too much”, causing hysteria over nothing if some wordings in for example law text are still raw and unpolished. Much like in software development customer seeing something being “postponed” can instantaneously mean “removed” etc. for no good reason.
Go visit SD’s HQ by all means if you want more openly see what is happening with yer own lil’ eyes, they welcome any and all visitors.
As Watsyurdeal put it, SD needs to really think what information they publish. Let’s say they have completely new feature that they’re experimenting with in their inner- builds, Turtle with ability nobody’s heard of yet for example. Let’s say they publish this very raw, still completely theoretical information. Some of the community loves it, some hate with passion, people start theory-craft with it in mind. They come up with something else that they feel fits the game better and decide to scrap this first announced mechanic entirely, how will community react? Like a complete melting pot of feelings; some feel deceived, because they took it as proven feature despite any and all attempts from developer to make people keep in mind it was merely experimental, some feel relieved and so on yaddayadda.
Community itself is the reason they cannot publish ALL the information they have and what they are working with, it just isn’t healthy. There’s a thin line between being transparent and blabbering. They’re staying on the first mentioned side which is fine by me.
I would go on more about the upcoming Christmas event and why I think its just fine it seems lacking and boring but there was enough to correct you so far already.
One of the biggest problem is that many people consider “We’re working on it” “We’re looking for possible options” answers as granted. They are not, especially if they don’t come with a timed deadline (in 2 weeks, next patch, whatever, as long as it’s precise enough).
So yes, people might think they’re deceiving us because of that. So they probably should avoid those not precise information in their commucation ? I don’t know, they’d be so few info coming out that people would be worried.
To be fair to Nail, I did say lied in the original post and edited it after he made me realize that wasn’t what I wanted to communicate
Mainly, I’d like to see some more clear communication on the plan. Where is CMM in development? What are they fixing about it? Is there a generic release date for it?
What are the plans for the future of DB? What is the list of things that need to be done before the game is out of beta?
It’s those things that I feel like I have gotten 0 information on, and I would feel a whole lot more comfortable continuing to play if I knew that there is a future something to look forward to because right now there is nothing.

Perfectly worded. I’m sitting in this category too.
better leave than having the bad relationship with your girlf-i mean the game.
I found myself playing this game less and less after 1000h (not like I regret or anything but just really disappointed at the current state)
I see a lot of posts about people moving on…but what are you people moving on to? I don’t think I’ve seen a better f2p fps than db in terms of gunplay and movement.
@r2dav2 I’ve moved back to CS:GO on my computer, but am also playing more on my new PS4 instead of my PC. For shooter though it’s either DB or CS for me.
@Hawkeyeguy99 O_o console scrub
but jk…still not much to choose from as far as shooters go, though, no?
Take a break every once in a while. You don’t have to be exclusive with any one game. It’s the best way to keep playing the same games for years without having too many issues with requiring new content. I am a big believer in playing multiple games at one time and taking a break from MP in general and go back to some SP games for a bit. It keeps you from stressing over a lot of concerns you wouldn’t have if that particular game wasn’t the only thing you played.
