Why does nobody ever play on US East?

I can only ever find about 2 servers with people on them at any given time, and my ping is 80+ on every other server base (except SA, but very few people play on them either). I know that it is a European game and that therefore mostly Europeans mainly play it, but there only seems to be maybe 25 players on US East / South America at any given time.

Honestly I have this problem with US West, I’m usually forced to play on East just because there are no open servers.

US East is extremely active for me whenever I check, but as @The_N00B said, timezones.

I always have the Server Browser search for “East” that has people, is joinable, and is not empty, and I typically find quite a few servers open for both Obj and Stop.

Tbh i just play with anywhere theres a server.

Usually nothing goes wrong.

I’ve noticed this for the past few months. The main reason is probably the dip in players. Generally speaking, it’s pretty easy to get into an Objective match as that’s the most popular game mode. However, Stopwatch and Execution can be difficult at times. A lot of the time, there’s only 2 or 3 games running for Stopwatch and Execution (with those either being all full, or one or two full and the other(s) almost empty).

It sucks because there’s three types of U.S. servers: South America Servers (located in U.S. East), U.S. East, and U.S. West. Yet the playerbase just isn’t that large. Thankfully we have the SA servers in the U.S. right now so that helps finding games sometimes. But it sucks for actual SA players because their pings are always going to be shit to a server located in the U.S…

I wish I could play on European servers without having a ping over 130. There’s always “almost full” European servers to join. Lucky bastards.

What time of the day are you searching? Around 3-4pm here in NZ the amount of US east servers is off the page for me. In the weekends I see 25+ US east servers at peak hours.

I dunno what it is about this game, but lagging can be a pretty fun challenge. In other shooter it’s a nightmare, but it’s averted in DB. :slight_smile:

@Dr_Plantboss you don’t have it set up so that it doesn’t show full servers do you? I had a friend who did that once by accident, so he thought there was never any servers going but in reality there was 20+, just all full.

I do have it set up, but even when I disable it there’s maybe 5 servers up. I also have EVERY US East and SA server favorited, which helps.

Then I have to ask what time you’re playing, because during normal peak hours I see heaps of US East servers running?

They literally go off the page, and then some.

at the time you posted Dox it is 8:07 P.M. on US East. Yup this is pretty much when our prime time starts. Many servers can remain full up until 3:00 AM East Coast time. That is when the last of them tend to die.

Are you only looking for a specific type of server such as Objective or stopwatch? or are you looking at everything. That answer is still unclear to me.

To everyone wondering what my search filters are, (specially @Dox @The_N00B ) it’s this:

□ All[center]√ Not Full[/center][right]○ Any[/right]
√ Objective[center]√ Has Players[/center][right]○ <50ms[/right]
√ Stopwatch [center]√ No Password[/center][right]● <150ms[/right]
□ Execution[center]√ Joinable[/center][right]○ <300ms[/right]

I also usually play earlier than 23:00 UTC.

If you are playing earlier than 6:00PM ET that is why you are not finding multiple servers open. Depending on how early you play all the kids are still at school and the adults are more than likely at work. The servers start filling 2-3 hours later. :slight_smile:

Also you have not full ticked. Look at the picture I linked. Most of them are full, so you wont be seeing those ones.

lol no I believe Dox’s point was you have “Not Full” checked. It is even checked above. As long as “Not Full” is checked all the full servers will not be shown that’s all. :slight_smile:
