I would like to know, what are your personal reasons to buy Brink?
Is it SMART? The team based gameplay? Because you love all SD games?
I will buy Brink, because I just love one genre of muliplayer shooters, which are the team based ones from Splash Damage 
Furthermore I would like to play competitive again.

anyway i want Brink for how innovative it is, all i do are shooters, and i love the genre, but if you take a look at it the FPS genre is full of just… sameness, i mean each game has its own thing but overall it follows the same format, run here kill some people unlock things, and maybe if youre playing BC2 you have to work as a team to blow stuff up. Everything from Brink offers something to me, from the massive amount of teamwork involved to even the Art style differentiates itself from the other shooters, but yet it is still just that, a shooter.

I bought brink because it appears to be fast paced combat and it appears to take a lot of hits to kill someone compared to more realistic shooters. Grenade launchers is also a big plus, at least 1 gun should be entirely predictable in trajectory.
I still think ETQW is the best PC game ever made and Brink is so far the only serious attempt to push this further.
Also the big nods to social/environmental issues are relevant to my interests.
I bought it when I was drunk, altough I don’t regret doing so.
Woke up with a bad hangover the next day and after reading my emails I discovered that I pre-ordered it, I could have canceled it but I didn’t.
But yea, the SMART, customization, maps and the whole mission options sounds great.

Because I have faith in SD and obviously that Brink looks top notch and is pushing the envelope regarding the FPS genre. Also agree that ETQW didn’t get the praise that it deserved and I think Brink will be the game changer

Because it looks like a FPS that’s different from the rest.
Yeah, there have been games in the past that have tried to break from the standard formula, but Brink looks like it’s actually going to do it well enough where it will be a trend setter.

The pushing the envelope is a pretty big seller, with the games that have been crapped out by publishers the last 3 years. What’s great is they did it on many different fronts. Different movement, different leveling system, bad to the classic shooting mechanics yay
