So you’re saying, if I go into a single match and rack up like 129 kills while destroying my enemy platoon’s defense line, that means that… I’m blessed with auto-aim?
Well, considering that my 128 enemies couldn’t manage to kill me even a quarter as much as that, I’m guessing that you’re also saying that all of their auto-aims where broken, eh?
That means you are playing the game with people who aren’t as good at it as you are, isn’t that just boring? I know I get bored if the people I play a game with pose no challenge in a fight.
Why Brink has fanboys:

… I don’t know if you have ever tried playing BRINK on PC, if yes, then you should know that aiming and killing in BRINK (PC) is much more difficult then in your youtube-vids …
… I’m not saying that the players in the vids are nOObs, but to compare such different games is for my point of view not right, because it’s simple not possible to aim / kill this way in BRINK (PC) … I’m only an average player, because I have to go to work and can’t play daily 6 hours a game, but I think I’m still able to recognize the huge different’s between the game I actual play and the kind of game-play in your vids …
:stroggtapir:
The skill ceiling in Brink is discovering the use of the Carb-9 and using a light self-healing medic that slides everyone down whilst killing them instantly with a spray.
btw no point in a pc vs console war because it’s already known that it take’s much more ‘skill’ to aim the mouse than rely on the auto-aim from your console to keep your crosshair on your enemy.

i agree that its harder to aim on pc, not because of auto aim which i disable but because i am good with xbox and bad with a mouse.
its personal preference really.
if there was a war pc would lose because WAAAAAY more people play consoles now srry u jelly bro?
Dear me, I think I’ll have to explain the comic.
It’s a sarcastic commentary on the low skill ceiling in Brink. Players who aren’t great at aiming can get plenty of lucky kills in Brink due to the fact that the majority of kills are a matter of who gets lucky with the RNG. CS and ETQW were just examples of games where the skill ceiling is much higher, and the game is a lot more aim-dependant. That’s really all it was.
Also, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t meant as a PC vs console thing. It’s kind of sad to see console users make it into one.
BS ETQW had no skill ceiling. look at me i have an OHK roket launcher, or look at me i have an OHK sniper rifle or grenade no skill there… not really

Weird because when I’m playing online it’s always the same person who gets most kills. I guess it’s some very lucky guys who are completely skilless as you are suggesting it, and multiple times every night through multiples maps!

Anthony hes not saying there isnt a skill gap at all.
He’s saying, that the difference b/w an average player and elite player is pretty small.
In etqw, even amongst the elite the skill gap b/w themselves was obvious.
Has the game been out long enough and played by enough people to even generate a skill gap in the 1st place?

Just look at the comic, that’s exactly what it’s being say.
I gotta agree that many perk can do the difference (weapon buff giving +33% damage in mind) but beyond that a good player will always manage to get the most kill.
Also, don’t forget that XP = skill!!!
Yes, there is already BrinkPro including many balance fix and so on. :stroggtapir:

Bcs the bloke’s a carb-9 self healing medic light, there’s always one who keeps getting most kills just by spraying the carb-9 everywhere.
So the game can be unbalanced if you have the good set of perk? Way too off topic imo.

Yeah, I guess it’s a tough audience at this gig. Not too many get satire, irony or sacrasm, I think it’s an age thing. Then again, it could be it just wasn’t that amusing, hence the ensuing squabbling.
brink has fanboys because all custom charectors look like soho militants on a friday night, drum n bass
I guess I never run into these guys, because at the end of nearly every match I play it always says “General Techniq” under ‘Most Kills’ in the ‘Awards’ tab. Weird thing is, not only do I NEVER use this Carb you speak of, I also never sit back or go around hunting for kills…
…oh, wait. My reply was completely pointless, since I didn’t purchase Brink on the PC. Right?
Now, all we need is some PS3 fanboys to come in here and throw around their warped perceptions, and this WHINY LITTLE PLATFORM-ELITIST SCRUBS’ party would be in full climax. No?!?
This thread would have actually been funny, and more true to form, if this had been the OP.
Kudos!
