well most famous note MW2
So verti is pussy who ragedquit the game because he got owned too many time now?
That comic is pretty spot on. In etqw you could constantly hear “omg, hax!” because the visible skill difference is huge. A good player could take on 3v1 easy, but some could barely kill anyone.
In brink this is different. You can’t really do much with skill as you hit the wall soon. You can be great, but you will surely die when taken on 2v1 or from behind no matter the skill.
I’m sorry, but the OP’s comic just seems lame to me. I guess it’s just a matter of perception…
Maybe, the OP gets owned a lot more while playing Brink, so he feels that it’s a n00b game since n00bs can kill someone as skilled as he thinks he is?
Maybe, the OP finds Brink much easier to survive on and camp on randoms/pubs/n00bs since he’s so awesome at owning all of the enemies preoccupied with completing objectives?
Whatever his motivation, it seems lame to me…
–Counterstrike: The skill of this old game’s general playerbase has always been overrated and, even today, still causes me to go through fits of laughter intense enough to bring tears to my eyes.
–Quake Wars: LOL, seriously… SERIOUSLY??
–Brink: Teamwork > Lone Wolf. So sorry that FPS gaming evolution left you behind… wait, no I’m not.
So, we’re naming games that show the gap between great players and n00bs, are we?
OOOOO, I WANT TO PLAY…
**Gap Match 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdxoAPmktJM
**Gap Match 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ON7MbfkRk8c
Yeah, so in that game (name not important), the way you can tell the worst player from the best player is that…
**In match 1, the best players in that battle of 256 players take out entire squads (8 players) of enemies nearly every time they flank their bunkerlines or reinforcement lines, ending the battle as MVP for their platoon (32 players);
while the n00bs end the game with more friendly fire kills than enemy kills and 40+ deaths.
**In match 2, the best performer out of all 256 players in the battle ended the game with countless objectives completed and 150 kills, as leader of the highest performing platoon and the #1 MVP out of all 128 players for his company;
while the worst players ended it with no objectives completed, 0 kills and 40+ deaths each.
Still, I wouldn’t bother with dissing Counter-Strike fanboys for thinking that their accomplishment of mowing down 4 enemy n00bs, often over p2p, makes them the l33test pwn0rz in all of fps history.
Although, I gotta admit that lack of respawn systems totally makes the CS playerbase baddass all on it’s own. Because, in a game like MAG (for a random example), doing something like nearly single-handedly holding off three squads (24 players) of health recharging, respawning, enemies for 30 minutes… that’s just totally lame, no?
Brink’s an awesome game. However, it’s not awesome enough to turn a n00b into a beast… nowhere even close to being so.
Furthermore, I hear an awful lot of “freaking hax!” accusations while playing Brink. An unusually high amount of them, in fact.
I’m gonna have to STRONGLY disagree with that. STRONGLY. (emphasis on the “strongly”)
Think he’s talking about pc and not console with players who need aim assist(lol) in a fps game to aim.
When left with no ground to stand on, turn it into a PC vs Console argument. LOL.
I’d link to video footage of Brink PC players mowing down multiple enemies at a time with no trouble, but I just don’t much care about wasting that much time to address your delusions.

Yet, you can still be hackused by a random nublet

Well in brink is easier to frag someone and not to die so much compared to other fps i´ve played wich is a good thing imo.
In brink with red halos / radar / perk that warns that somone is aiming at you etc makes it a lot less camp friendly wich is great.
And if you choose to fight a dude in a 1 vs 1 and you see your almost dead you can run away and slowly heal.
Some people might call this newb stuff, but those are the reasons i like brink and not so much other shooters out there where your dead 24/7 and didnt even saw the enemy aiming at you.
Why are the console noobs even replying? I thought I very clearly drew the guy with a PC?
I agree that the skill ceiling is really low in this game and there is a ridiculous lack of meta game.
Inb4 “LOLUMADUCANTBUFFLIKEME!!!” If this game had no money tourneys I think I would have 0 friends playing on steam . And I am pretty sure that the majority of console players call a game “challenging” when it takes more than 2 bullets to kill something with auto-aim… l0l.
So…this thread just turned into another PC vs Console war.
Back on topic ppl.

How do you get friendly names to show up green like that?
… AIM-Assist and / or no recoil ? … would be much easier to kill, if we would have it like this in BRINK (PC) …
:stroggtapir:
The thread title alone made me want to punch the topic starter, just me? ok!

LMAO
So you’re saying, if I go into a single match and rack up like 129 kills while destroying my enemy platoon’s defense line, that means that… I’m blessed with auto-aim?
Well, considering that my 128 enemies couldn’t manage to kill me even a quarter as much as that, I’m guessing that you’re also saying that all of their auto-aims where broken, eh?
I was most likely FPS gaming on the PC before you had ever even seen a PC FPS game. Talking way back when I’d often fight off the urge to ram my keyboard into the monitor over frustration at “Slaughter Until Death”, and opt instead to just calm down with some smooth gameplay on “Crossing Achelon” (or whatever it was called).
If you’d have told me back then that, 17 years later, I’d have some wannabe PC-elitist throwing lame PC-vs-Console wisecracks at me; I’d have just laughed my ass off and said, “no way in hell will I still be playing games when I’m that freaking old!”
Im one of the better players on most servers (alongside other competitive players and some regs I ocasionaly see)
But I still dont get this comic fully?!
