Why bother using the luger?

I play as an axis covert ops with K43. Now if I get into a close combat with an enemy I kill him with my rifle, unscoped of course. When I was new to the game I always used the luger but now I know that it is best to use the rifle, this is why:

-Luger has 8 shots in a clip, K43 has 10.
-They shoot at the same rate (time between bullets is the same)
-Killing with them both increase light weapon skill.
-They are both silenced.
-K43 does more damage, double if I recall correctly.
-The only better thing about luger is that it reloads faster.

The only reason why I use the luger is when I want to see high accuracy levels with my rifle :banana:

that’s why it’s a secondary weapon :???:

Ofcourse it’s worse… It’s for when you run out of ammo for your primary weapon.

Yeah, but wouldn´t it be more realistic if the sniper weapon was harder to handle, took more time to reload and had fewer ammo.

I mean if you are face to face with an enemy you can´t handle an rifle it is to cumbersome. This is why you have a pistol.

I think that using a rifle should slow down your movement and turning.

I hope not :), after playing years of rtcw with medic (remember, one clip less) I void my luger clips in quite less than a second.
This rate with K43 damage would squish any SMG player. :weird:

The K43 does squash any SMG player who gets close enough to midigate the K43’s horrible spread. Best to think of the rifle less as a rifle and more as a shotgun. The closer you get the better.
