Brink is a great Game but why are there only 20 Levels?
I´ve played the Game for 8 hours and reached LVL 13.
Hope the devs add more levels in a patch.

cause I´ve reached LVL 13 in 8 hours and when I´ve finished the singleplayer I have nothing to do at the multiplayer.
I get the impression that the levelling system is just a way of introducing new players to all the different perks available in the game over their first few hours of gameplay, so that you’re not inundated from the get go.
Imagine how unfair it would be if it took as long as it does to reach max level prestige on Call of Duty to unlock the rank 5 perks in Brink. This isn’t a game with a carrot on a stick style levelling system.
I agree with the 1st post, 20 levels is to low, got to level 20 in my 2nd day, now nothing new to unlock, more levels would make things more interesting in the long term, some of you might be ok with you, but all the other popular shooters out there have a lot more levels, and that stuff makes players play longer wich helps the game.
I tend to play single player more for the story then the levels.
Imo the levels are pure cosmetic to add a delay before you can experience the full game, so less is more for me.
I can see what you mean if you only bought this for the SP though, at least it then give some sense of achievement, but then I think you’ve just bought the wrong game (sorry)
You’d be better off playing a RPG or the likes.
The purpose of this game is not to reach max level and all unlocks, these are only a personalization/customization tool, not a goal per se, and being only a tool, they are easy and fast to get.
You didn’t “finished” the game just because you are lvl 20
Whats the problem??
If you reached lvl 20 with one char, start a new one!
You can’t even unlock everything with 1 char.
Do it like that:
1 Char = Medic
1 Char = Soldier
1 = Operative
1 = Engineer
That takes a good time. If you dont have enough then, start the next one. Heavy Medic for example. Why? Then you don’t have to change everything always. You just can choose the heavy medic if you would like to play him
So maintaining you guys line of thinking why would someone prestige in mw2 or blac ops and etc, you dont unlock new stuff with that, you just have 1 more slot, well the thing is that it makes players play the game longer so it does increases the players playng it online wich helps the game.
prestige is just a grind, if people want to do that play cod.
I do although would like to carry on accumulating xp as I am now lvl 20 and would like my XP to grow!
Oh all the other populat shooters, and by that you mean the COD series? CS have no levels, neither does TF2, 2 very popular shooters. No levels, you unlock everything the second you log into them. Well they changed TF2 and ruined it, but it used to be like that.
Point is, Brink is not CoD and one should not expect CoD when buying Brink.
SD games are based on completely different gameplay design, objectives, etc… than CoD, and level and unlocks are not part of their core design, as simple as that.
The rank cap is supposed to limit how many skills you can have so you have to build your character in some way. No way an you completely max out everything. The game encourages you to make more characters.
You’re kidding right? If you think multiplayer is easy after beating SP at your LVL 13, you need to play more. Trust me, the BOTS in coop, for ex., increase in lvl with you and become even more difficult to handle (as if they weren’t already). I am LVL 16 in security and 14 in resistance, and the BOTS, let alone players, are brutal. Besides, you can’t even unlock certain weapons, like one smg in particular, without soloing the operative lvl 2 challenge. You have a total of 11 avatars to create I believe, so leveling each will take some time (20x11) if you’re up to it.
Play past 16 and get back to me.

Bingo; well said! Finally, someone with the cajones to say this! You made my day! If one wants COD, buy that. This ain’t it. SP never noted making their version of that game. Will people please allow devs. to breath new life into the COD choked environment?! Tired of everybody looking for cloned shooters.
You want a challenge: try escorting MATRIAV (HOWEVER YOU SPELL HIS NAME) out of prison at lvl 16 with security breathing at your back/fron/side with just one buddie on your fireteam and let me know how “easy” it was.

Or they could just make your level reset every Monday.
I think Splash Damage didn’t want the level grind to be the focus in Brink (thank god)
If you want more endless levels to grind to play an MMO.
Really tired of all the articles of people wanting to change this and change that cause there other fav game has it. Well wtf go play your other fav game then. What is with people these days and thinking everygame should be the way they want it and going online to whine and complain to get it changed.
Go play another game or something, stop trying to influence how every game is made and then patched, Devs cant even have a chance to think for themselves with some games, I feel bad for guys whose creative ideas get snubbed over and over cause they have to cater to punk ass annoying wanna be gamers from the COD crowd.
Seems everyone forgot how to pick up a new game and adapt to it and experiance what the creators intended. KZ2 was great and had me super hyped for KZ3 cause the makers were listening to the players, but the online forums and population was slowly taken over by COD players wanting a COD Future Space game rather then Killzone and KZ3 was murdered and stripped of almost everything that made KZ2 great and they added a bunch of COD influenced stuff that ruined it beyond fixing. Dont be surprised if BF3 goes down the same road espcially for console. Too much COD influence on amatuer wanna be gamers is ruining the industry.
If you are a big COD fan your best bet is to just STFU and go play COD, you noobs fags ruined it after COD4 so stay with it and ride the ship you are sinking and stop trying to sink everyone elses.
