Why are there only 20 Levels?

Less levels would be better, you don’t need levels in an FPS game, the gameplay should be able to keep you playing.

I got my first lvl 20 in six hours, now I got five lvl 20’s. That, my friends, is a good thing.

New players shouldn’t have to grind their ass off to compete with other people. Having an advantage because you play more is retarded in every game.

And if you bought this game for the singleplayer you are stupid.

And I’m really really wanting to get back into PC gaming now because at least the PC crowd, for the most part, remembers the days of CS and UT where there was no such thing as a leveling system and you didn’t unlock anything at all!

Do you people, who need levels to keep being interested in a game, know that CS was once the most addicting game and that there was ZERO THINGS you could unlock! It was purely team vs team, gun vs gun, offense vs defense. And viewing your KDR was possible, people still went for objectives.

Oh God do I miss those days of gaming. Even casual gamers appreciated it. But no… you kids nowadays with your “I need 1000 levels, but you can keep the fun gameplay” mindset are ruining FPS games.

XP is linked to the characters, not the factions. You do know that you can play through both factions with the same character, right?

But no, I shouldn’t blame them. I should blame Infinity Ward. This whole leveling bull****, perk bull****, killstreak bull****… people think that they are MUSTS in FPS games. Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one that thinks these make games dull and boring.

Never understood why people have an obsession with levelling.

You can just keep resting your skills and get back to level 1 if you want to level more.

I would rather have more gear added than a new carrot on a stick.

No you’re not the only one. I couldn’t care less about them. If I want a cookie I’ll
head for the cookiejar. I intensly dislike all the bull you mentioned, I find it sad people
need cookies to enjoy and keep playing a game. That’s not what gaming is about.
I’m glad in Brink the levels are basicly a tutorial journey, nothing more :oppressor:

Basically, people would rather play the meta-game than just play the game itself.

More levels would break the meta-game as there wouldn’t be any incentive to level new characters to accommodate to the changing gameplay dynamic with new abilities.

Consoles and COD DO NOT go hand in hand, a large MAJORITY of console gamers dont have COD, dont play COD and want nothing to do with COD. I have very few friends online who still play it, for many MW2 is what broke the camels back and the only people i knew who still play/played i either deleted them form friends list cause its literally like the only game they ever play or own even though most of them continue to bitch and moan about how much it sucks 24/7. The rest of the people i know who play either just want to play with all their other online friends or are no good at competitve multi so they stick to zombies for co-op games.

And I doubt that you know basic math, over 70 million accounts and not even 10mil in sales for ps3 alone for newest COD. So even with rough numbers and rounding sales up and accounts down its still only 1 out of 7 have COD Black Ops for PS3… So please explain to me now how 1 out of 7 is a Majority?!

Or how bout this, counting Ps3, Xbox360 and Wii there is about 170million total actually console sales, and what maybe 20million at most for Black ops which makes it less then 1 out of every 8 console owners have Black Ops. Again please feel free to show your side.

Theoretically higher levels could only give more clothes, haircuts etc. but I don’t care for levels either, I play a MP shooter because it’s fun not to rank up.
