Containment War was a sh*tstorm for everyone unlucky enough to get nothing. It’s ridiculous that a player could be active in game throughout the entire event and still face the risk of receiving nothing - and I’m saying this from the PoV of a person who got a fair bit of loot during CW. For the love of God SD, please make it so that at least ONE future event will not be reliant on RNG.
So, who wants events NOT based on RNG?
What? Something like the free elite case giveaways, the double credit/double xp weekends, the obsidian loadout giveaway from the test weekend back in march, the free phoenix giveaway OR phoenix obsidian if you already had it or the additional 3 expert cases given away near the end of the CW event?
Are you asking for an event with event cases that have no RNG and you get to pick a card OR are you looking for Nexon/SD to remove RNG from cases completely OR are you just looking for an event case that has RNG to be given to each player(removing the RNG based on drop chance)?
EDIT: As an additional note. The business model is rng. That is how this game is geared to make money. Selling mercs is great, but most dedicated players will just end up earning credits for them. What people will likely pay for is the rng cases. You will likely never see a DB free from RNG because, as I said, it is their business model.
RNG is a basic for obtaining DB loadout, yes some people didnt got any CW, well no luck for you i personally got 5 good one after grinding like a tryhard for a week, stop being so butthurt about RNG it has been around since a long time. You got no luck too bad for you, you are just basically asking who wants free stuff, little reminder for you, the game is free. It means you are not entitled to anything. You didnt got CW ? Get over it they are just cosmetics its not like it gices an,advantage. The only place id remove RNG would be for people buying elite case. Freeloaders gets the RNG the only thing good for SD would be to put a higher chance than 0.3%

Nope. Something like the CW event as a whole, except where you don’t have to rely on RNG to get event loadouts. For example, TF2’s Gunmettle update, whereby you had to complete contracts (kill X amount of people, get X amount of points, ect.) to receive a reward, not completely stripped of RNG, buy ALOT less. I’m not talking about giveaways, I’m talking about an event where you actually have to earn your loot.

I’m not even asking “who wants free stuff”, I’m just asking if people would like an event where they had the opportunity to earn cool event goodies with a guaruntee that their playtime will pay-off. SD can still earn money from that, say for example the event give you the opportunity to earn lots of different skins, you’re guarunteed a skin, however, you’re not guaranteed which skin. SD can sell cases that exclusively provide specified skins that the player wants if they really aren’t having any luck find the exact one that they want. Just an example, I could also expand on many other “business rich” event ideas if you still do not understand.
I like the idea of rare items actually being rare, but it gets a bit frustrating when I poor hours and get nothing in return. I’d like for drops you get be reflected by how much time you put into playing the game.

I don’t blame him, if I was pulling CW cards out of my ass I wouldn’t want it to change too.
I like the idea of being able to earn your reward, but how it would be done really depends on what that reward is. Personally, I don’t see a lot of value in them. They’re unique, but what can I do with them? What do I do with the majority of 162 loadout cards that are crappy? I have 5 special edition cards (not 5 CW cards), 1 of them is decent. Nothing will compel me to use the rest.
That’s why I’m fine with RNG for mostly-useless unique stuff. If they were rewarding elite cases or even expert cases, (which they did just for showing up), I would be inclined to work for them if they were guaranteed. At least I can make something with those useless standard-rarity cards.

Meh, you can’t always have everything for free. SD makes money almost exclusively on loadouts, and you want them to shortcut it? I prefer them to use it to hire an extra Dev so that debugging goes faster. I don’t mind facing rngesus.
It would be cool if there was an event with set missions from which you would get rewards. Of course they could be just as hard as they would see fit to keep rarity of the rewards, but even then I would feel like I was actually accomplishing SOMETHING when trying, lol

Well then, please suggest more options that I could use as answers to a yes or no question.

Without RNG? No.
But increasing the drop chance would be a good thing. I would also combine it with a system where you’ll get a case for every mission you finish.
Not everyone has the same amount of time to spent in the game. I feel that completing missions is a bit more fair than a system that is based on purely the amount of time you spent in the game. People who don’t have a lot of time can focus on a specific mission so that they are certain to get a case.
The cases would still have RNG but with an increased drop rate.

Well, first thing you should add is a “don’t know / don’t care” option. Second is that I can imagine having an event with a guaranteed item for anyone that attended, but with RNG added on top (so you can get more stuff if you buy more cases, for example).

NO MORE RNG EVENTS THANK YOU SD AND NEXON. Seriously, the CW case drop even was sh*t and i hope it never happens again. It’s dumb that some people get 3-4 of those and the majority (looking at the poll percentage) got nothing. This only piss off people.
