Who wants a new ET with the same style?

Hi everyone.

Today I dreamed with ET and I didnt play it for a long time. Not only today but other times, I think of a new ET, with the story (WW2), with the same type of maps.
I really enjoyed ET but it became repetitive and outdated. But I still like the team play, the unique personality that each class has. The sneaky cover ops, the supportive field ops as well as the medic and so on…

A new ET with new graphics, the same gameplay, with everything polished, new maps… I sure would buy it. I played only for a bit the ET quake wars and for me, it has just a little to do with classic ET. Its almost like comparing ET with Battlefield (though I like very much BF2), but they have different concepts. I like the missions, and the teamwork to accomplish those objectives, and I miss that a lot.

Im sure someone came up with this subject but it is probably removed or something.
Anyway, tell what do you think.

No, your facts are all wrong…

Use the search function there are at least 5 other people that have suggested this before you.

Everybody will just vote yes, or whatever, but it’s all been done before (use the search function)

Also Battlefield copied quake wars, but managed to release earlier which made it look the other way around…

Sorry to sound harsh or whatever, but this just seems like another empty topic about the obvious, with no plan of action.

If its so obvious, what is splash damage waiting for??
My point was to make them to “hear” community, to make them to do something…

Usually, companies debate about what to do next, how can they captivate the gamers attention, but here they already have the most important: they have a successful idea and I dont understand why they dont use it to make something new…

I’d say, if id still supports the enemy territory franchise, an ET game for every id tech engine.

I really hope there is an ET game set in the medieval universe. Ahem Hexen.

An Enemy Territory game isn’t the same in a non id engine.

Because classic games usually get outdated, with ppl exploiting every glitch. But it doesnt make sense if they cant improve enough to make it a new and good to actual standards, but I hope they can… if they try…

I’d prefer the W:ET engine source to finally be released so that the community can get to work on improving what we already have… and there’s plenty that can be improved before even thinking about gameplay or graphics.

A few people felt the same way about the original Half Life to be remade with the source engine… so much so that they actually decided to do it themselves. Feel free to start a similar project with ET instead of waiting for others to do it for you :slight_smile:

They already tried that, not with W:et but with RTCW and that didn’t realy work out for several reasons…

They messed up everything and made it worse!

Just fix the anti cheat and free etkeys and we are back in business. I like the full control of my client console and server rather then BC2 which doesn’t let you do anything.

I saw the new game BlackOps coming and it’s coming with VAC. eek

Looks like PC gamers are rare species now a days. Everything is around xbox or ps3 now a days. :frowning:

Theres very few games that can keep you coming back for more Quake/COD’s etc all last 6 months until they release another version with nothing more than the same repetative stuff to entertain for a few months.

ET after 7 years is still being played - ok not vastly but is still being enjoyed - I can’t think of one game that has as many regular users

A revamped ET would be fantastic but i doubt that will happen now since the Splash people are probably in the money making stages - Revamp ET - Sell it and i’ll buy it
