Who do you think is the most annoying Merc to face and why? I included the ones people seem to complain the most about, but feel free to submit your own. Personally, my vote goes to Fletcher. He is SO annoying. Doesn’t even have to fight you. Just runs away or jumps around and throws sticky bombs until he either a). blows you up, or b). gets your health low enough to where he can finish you off.

I mean, the bombs are Fletchers ability, and they take a bit to explode, so imo he’s not that terrible to fight against. Just keeping moving and a Fletcher player will probably miss some throws.

Sparks, because if a player has health packs saved up, they can get almost half of their health back near instantaneously, and then keep on doing that while slowly taking you down. Also getting one-shotted by the REVIVR isn’t much fun. Normally not terrible, but sometimes extremely frustrating.

Just finish him and you wont have to kill him twice. If you cannot finish him literally every time, well good! Otherwise his ability would be useless.
Anyways I pick Aura, she can be annoying to fight against. Hopping around with a shotty and that healing station can make positions hard to take without explosives. I think she is still balanced though.

I think the problem with Fletcher is that with his reasonably fast movement speed he is able to close the distant between you to kill you.
In the merc roll call, shoe said to keep you distant from fletcher and that if you did so it would make the kill easier, however this is not the case. with all the wall running he is able to close the gap very quickly, putting him in prime position to kill YOU.
TL:DR, fletcher is able to close distant too easily.

whatever mate, most votes went to ‘other’ so the poll is basically wasted. Don’t really see how 16 options are too many, if some mercs are more annoying like you predicted they would come up in the poll clearly. I’m not opposing you making polls, but I’m gonna point out when I think they are bad ; )

That’s what I meant. Finishing him is like having to kill him twice.
If you meet two players, one Phoenix and one Bushwacker for example. You have to kill Phoenix first, then you have to finish him before you can take down the Bushwacker. And you better hope that Bushwacker sucks, otherwise you’re fucked. If you don’t finish the Phoenix he will just self revive, and if you kill the Bushwacker first, the Phoenix will just revive him. So instead of it being a normal 2v1, it’s basically a 3v1.

There is a one minute cool down. Yes, a self reviving Phoenix can be annoying, but I find using your knife to gib can really cut down on the amounts of times they will surprise you. But even if you are at a range they only have 50 hp while downed.

Proxy because of suicide mines.
Also this poll is crap. Where’s Redeye? He can be annoying even when he is in YOUR team. He actually is the no 1 spot, but he’s rarely played outside of free rotation. Proxy is free much more often because she’s an engineer. So she wins with numbers.
