Which nationalities should new mercs be?

Mercs in DB have a huge variety of nationalities.
I’ve wondered recently, do we need more representatives to fuel more countries ego?

Personally, I’d like to see more Mercs from countries passionate about the game:

  • Italy: I heard the Italian Dirty Bomb community really like the game lol
  • Middle East: There was an adorable poster in the forum from the United Arab Emirates desperately trying to get the game working in their region. Maybe there could be an enthusiastic Middle Eastern Merc?
  • Asia: There’s quite a lot of Asian players, and two well-known Dirty Bomb YouTubers are Asian (Renspy and Kandyrew). An Asian Merc from a Western background could be really interesting!

Dang it! The first thing that poped into my mind with Italian merc would be typical gangster merc.

Gameplay over backstory. Always.

While some of the mercs get pretty interesting/'Nam-flashbacky bios (Stoker comes to mind), it doesn’t matter at all if they’re not balanced, fun, or interesting to play and fight against.

I’d kill for a merc with a jet-propelled boost or a grappling hook even if their personality was of a racist douchebag, but I wouldn’t care about an “edgy” punk merc with a horribly boring ability.
