Where is The Beach???

I’ve started playing Enemy Territory because of my love for RTCW way back in the day. However, I almost NEVER see the classic beach map. If I do I only see one in my server list, then it disappears, probably moving on in the map cycle if I don’t get in on time. I live in Indiana. My cousin in Oregon has the same problem, he rarely sees it and only one usually. This is the map where you blow up the doors and infiltrate the base, grabbing documents from down below. The classic beach from the old online demo. This is so classic and incredibly fun, why are people not playing on this map??

I think you mean et_beach. In my opinion it’s not popular because of the long spawntimes and spawnkilling is easy on it. Also it has long ways to get somewhere

A lot of EU and US servers play et_beach, it is a great map, however you will not find any server running one map 24/7.

Well I always see a ton of every other map but rarely see even one et_beach. So, what will it take to get my beach fix every night? Run my own server? I will do that but I don’t know what kind of connection that would require and how to get it set up. The map isn’t that big so it probably wouldn’t require a ton of players and uber connection to have fun.

why not just reinstall RTCW? Pretty much the only remaining active public server (without Bots) is the Egg Beach Server…
