I’d expect us to be releasing something next week or the week after.

Right now we still need to focus on fixing core technical issues with the Closed Beta before we can integrate the backlog of gameplay changes.

So 2nd wave beta invites is not for tomorrow, and we only have few boring maps to play for the next 2 weeks … maybe longer !

At least SD is keeping us slightly updated… I say someone post that they are focusing on Tech issues more so right now and a possible update this week or next… So at least they are keeping us posted…

This really sums it up for me too. I’m not terrible in a firefight most of the time, but I want to ragequit when getting stomped over and over by an obviously better player. It’s not fun and I’m not learning anything. I’m getting stomped and it’s hopeless. When you throw in mines or sticky grenades or turrets, it gives a player a sense they are contributing and having fun with possibly a few “cheap” kills against players who kill them in the gunfights.

In games like COD it usually spawns you at some random place on the map and the one who starts firing first wins because of the low ttk, so often you can catch a better player by shooting them in the back a few times. In games like Extraction where there’s more of a “front” and a lower ttk, you can’t get the kills if the other player is better, so the other abilities mentioned above helps even that out.

I’m talking about a fun pub experience in 8v8 here. That’s what I want to play. You can turn off the abilities and go hardcore gun battles for matches I’m sure. I’m looking for Extraction to be a solid objective shooter where if I have only a half and hour to game I can jump in a pub server and have a little fun. It’s been really fun so far for me and I find myself playing about every day.

And again; NOBODY on the frickin servers. Really, my impression is, that after the CB launch the playerbase had even dropped to a lower point than in the alpha. I was so looking forward to a wall of full servers. How could that’ve happened, I don’t get it. Did people, who were already kinda twitchy about the game, decide to not join the beta, because they considered this whole alpha to closed beta switch to be a convenient ending point for them? But what’s with all the new players that are waiting for keys? Did they already got them, but their exitement kinda died down? Or are there actually not that many invites out there yet? I just don’t get it.

we lost t´he russian players.which were a huge amount.
also the server problems (no scrims possible…) should be a reason

I really havent seen the first wave of Close Beta players… I didnt really see any new faces but SD did say there would be a second wave and lets hope that wave plays and posts feedback…

Idea: I think SD should put Notes in the Launcher so that new Closed Beta Players are aware of where the game is… Example: Feel and Balance is a current work in process - We are currently working on Technical issues while we are in the first few weeks of Closed beta. After this issues have been resolved we (SD) will put more on a fine focus on Map, Balance, Game-play and Characters. We SD what to make a solid and exciting FPS experience that also provides a high skill ceiling just can also allow novice players to jump into battle with more experienced players. As said before these first few weeks of Closed beta will be focused on Technical issues and bugs and we (SD) really appreciate your feedback and reports of errors.

Above is an example of my words NOT SD…

This little statement or statements when a person launches is a reminder of where the game is. I think this is very important and reminds the players this isnt a finished product…

This is why regular ol’ grenades were wonderful to me… I believe my grenade timing is a little above my gunplay, but I can’t afford to always be a single class all the time… Also, it seemed one per life was pretty balanced, especially with no way to stock.

I’ve had too many hot-shot folks ragequit on me to really trust them saying it’s a no-skill spamfest.

Also, there are too many half-broken things in this patch to really retain players coming back to check it out, and the new invites haven’t gone out… It’s a bummer the beta launch feels so slow. And the lack of voice chat and/or communication tools makes the game feel hollow with the games I do get to jump in.
