Shotgun is one shot within 6 yards center mass to head area. Anything farther than that and its 2 to 4 shots. Positioning matters in FPS’s. If you’re in a tight hallway, expect a shotgun to be very affective. Just like if you’re long range, expect a sniper/AR to effective.

Snipers again are viable only in certain areas. If it took 2HS, it would be worthless because every other weapon would out perform it and be more efficient. If sniping HS was so easy, everyone would do it.

I would hope COD feels better its on its like 10th installment.

Low skill, no aim? XT is about half the hitbox of ET and more spread. What skill was there in ET when you m_pitch 0 and rape the dome?

Honestly, it sounds like you damn near never play the game and just sit back and speculate on how this is not ET2. In addition, when you do play you only go AR and want to dominate every aspect without trying. Sorry, but I disagree, it isnt like COD, it doesnt need prone, and it does require skill to 4 dink. Most games, if you got shot in the back you lose. In XT you can respond.

Lastly, you complain about spam but advocated they add the grenade launching rifle. Wtf, quit complaining to complain and play the game.

I’m really missing voice chat, especially with the place holder VSAY, the lack of minimap, and active spotting.

Maybe i’m the only one but I don’t have any lack about the minimap, and active spotting is a cover ops ability.

I really like the mini-map removal.

There was mention that it may make a return to a limbo menu or hold/toggle button, although personally I’d rather this didn’t happen.

Regarding VSAY placeholders, hell yes!

First off I only play Medic and I can crush FO’s and Solders. 1 v 1… However I can not even come close to killing a shotgunner or get close enough to a sniper to kill them or even poke them because the medic gun is so weak. Im sure the AR gun is fine I dont think I have ever really used it. ET was not a m_pitch 0 game unless you played on euro servers where the nerfed prone. ET’s movements, crouch, jump and prone are far superior to xT. You can actually make people miss in ET. COD even has prone and it worked like ET prone.

I am not complaining I am stating facts because there is no balance. If the game is released as is i will probably go shotgun because that is the most op class right now other then sniper. I however do not want to play the game because I like playing Medic and there’s know point to it right now.

It is also not like we are playing SW either I can never find anyone playing on a SW server let along have /kills and waiting on the spawn timer… Game is a bunch of games mixed into one with none of the good parts of each game right now.

Didnt the ET sniper take 2 HS?

It doesnt matter the damage because it can all be balanced by ROF, hitbox size, recoil and other things. Its OP right now with the large HS hitbox IMO.

Im not going to play a game that isnt balanced. I tested it and then I was done. It was not fun to play so I am now giving my opinion. I am not going to keep playing something that isnt fun. Right now there is nothing that separates good from better to crap to amazing players…

It obviously won’t be released as is.

The more people we have actively playing, the easier and more quickly we can balance the game.

Actual gameplay statistics are a lot more useful to us than forums posts saying things like:

I only like to play medic and I think medic is weak so I won’t play anymore”.

That’s the equivalent of a Mage in an MMORPG jumping into the forums and saying “Mages are underpowered, buff Mages”. While these opinions are valid, there’s always going to be some small amount of bias there :slight_smile:

Unfortunately showing the current data on which characters/weapons etc. are the most powerful will only further skew the picks of players and make the data less useful to us.

I’m not talking about detection methods, I mean more of a press-to-spot that’s universal. There is no effective way to relay enemy positions right now. I can imagine this all skewing statistics a bit. Same with anything that can give away your position rather than having it revealed by an ability or two.

When I looked last night there were 2 scrims going on, no-one on the pub server. When I looked tonight there were 16/16 on UK casual and no-one on any others. I went and did something else. :slight_smile:

Would you answer some of these please:
Do All maps have the same stats, or do for example more balanced maps(like waterloo) have more balanced use of chars?
Or do u sort your stats for defs and attackers.
Or do you take into account that on unbalanced maps stats can obviously to lead you in wrong directions…
Was, for example, removing of nades (or weakening of medics) based on stats or just on char-distinction process?
