honestly you’re making bad impression by letting stupid machines bypass your security and letting them being annoying. You could at least reduce the spam flag cap @2 flags to allow peeps to wipe topics by hand… I’ was at least dedicated enough to flag those fuckers but I can’t gather 5 people to do that during my hours. Make it 2 or riot :confused:

Afaik they get hidden when enough flags are slapped on them even without moderator, least thats what happens with posts.

E: I just saw it myself, seems like 5 flags are needed to hide the thread least for me (and I’m quite sure for those who’ve also flagged it). Not sure if it’s gone for everyone like that. Seems a little too much required.

Sure the person behind it can be considered (maybe) he/she, but in the end of the day it’s just a bot.

Unless it’s honestly some poor sad fella manually copy+pasting that sh!t on thread-form, what a time of their life they must be havin’.

E: Just thought of an idea. How about fiddling the forum code so that if user has X amount of % of their Dirty Rep points be “Spam”, he’s denied from posting anything? That’d at least force the spambots to be made so that it creates new account ever so often, slowing it down a little bit. Unless this already is a thing @RazielWarmonic

I am Eastern US so it’s early for me as well, but since this seems to be the time we are most vulnerable I have tried to make an effort to be in here. The best thing you can do is report it as spam, then we can grab them all at once and ban them and delete content. Flagging 5 times is also handy for everyone until we get overrun and then that seems unrealistic sometimes, I think.
I personally appreciate the patience and support from the community and have suggested we turn on moderation again for new forum members.

@els The spamm started at 4am in europe (utc +2) so I suppose no european mods would be online at that time either.

My sleep schedule is all over the map at times, so I try and use that to fill in some of the gaps. Hopefully we can get new member moderation going again today so you all don’t have to put up with the clutter :slight_smile:
