Well there is a directory called botfiles in the pak0.pk3 file.
They even have got names: :slight_smile:

Here’s the word straight from Activision:

This was a tough call as the bots were really close. I had a lot of fun games against the bots… but we couldn’t justify spending more time and money on a free release. As close as the bots were to being done, they were not quite ready for open play.

Oh and if you are looking forward to picking up where the developers left off as far as modding source code goes, here’s another quote for you:

We will be releasing tools so that mappers can create additional maps and content. We do not expect to release the source code.

AXED! :banghead: Horses*** if you ask me! Words can’t explain how close i am too taking my copy of RTCW and shattering the CD in my hand and flushing it down the toilet.

But don’t get me wrong i hold nothing against nobody, it ain’t Splash Damage or Activision’s fault i guess. Just well, if you ain’t broadband, you aint s***, pretty much, it’s still a nice game though, and the thought and making it free is very appreciated weither or not i play it.

I was excited thinking “Awsome! Wolf will have bots, finally!” but it all went down the toilet. MAJOR dissapointment. Enjoy your game guys.

Heh you think you guys have it bad I’m on starband sat so I cant even think about playing online. I was so excited about playing this with bots I couldnt wait. But at least I had fun running around the empty levels for a lil while taking in the sites :banana:

I really would have thought that reasonably intelligent bots in a game such as this would have been well nigh impossible. Any of you SD coders any comment on that ?

Be grateful, at least you don’t know what you’re missing. I’m losing my cable connection in 3 weeks time. I’ll have played it long enough to love it then have it snatched from me. :frowning:
