I’ve tried unstalling and re-installing and nothing has helped… it really sucks because I love the game, and it doesn’t let my XP build up as i have to start fresh. it always says after the game loads “server discconected for unknown reason”.

Hmm, have you tried disabling PunkBuster? Does it do this on every server or just certain ones?
It’s a known bug that existed in early RtCW versions, and it’s sad to see the reprise in ET again.
Attending a server with XP saving facility (both shrub-et and bani’s ET Pro provide this) can save you a bit from the annoying phemonenon… though this disturbing bug still exists, but the harm is decreased.
I have not disabled punkbuster, and it happens on pretty much every serrver I’ve played on.
I’ve had this problem before, i get it maybe once every 15-20 maps. However, its not every map :???:
