When is the suck going to end?

(RobbedCustomer) #61

Bumping as still no feedback or acknowledgement of issues.

(Kalbuth) #62

If you’re trying to get response from the dev about how their map is lacking any content and game is empty, while logging in with the “RobbedCustomer” nick… guess what? You won’t get any answer.

Your legitimates complaints are lost when formed like that. Unplayable , laggy, ugly on 360? Sure, and that’s unnacceptable.
The game’s core being empty and useless? How can you know, you can’t play it properly? And yes, it is subject to huge debate and you’ll get the answers you got acting that way. Don’t do like you don’t understand why you’re getting such responses, you’re baiting for them, tbh
This thread is pretty ridiculous and really should be locked. All you guys are just throwing feces at each other.

That said, I do empathize with RobbedCustomer. Brink was released in a terrible state for consoles. You can’t argue otherwise. When it works, it works wonderfully but that hasn’t been the general experience. The lag makes the game simply unplayable and I certainly didn’t sign up for 4x4 gameplay.

Left 4 Dead 2 was released in a similar state. The online lag was horrific at launch for consoles. I gave Valve the benefit of the doubt and they ended up making it work. I will do the same for SD but my patience is limited.

Honestly, I’m pinning the blame on Bethesda. I can’t believe anyone at SD with half a brain wanted this to ship as is. I think Bethesda wanted to avoid the COD vs Battlefield melee as well as not compete against Rage. And by their track record, they seem okay releasing half baked games. New Vegas was an abonimation. Some of the Fallout3 DLC was horrifically bugged and never patched. And now Brink.

Sigh, hopefully, we’ll have a patch this week but the clock is ticking. Duke Nukem is just around the corner and while the multiplayer may not be very good, I’m guessing you can at least play it.
Bethesda got scammed by Splash Damage too. They got what, another year of dev time to improve the game? Maybe SD told them it was ready and working. Who knows. But I like going to the source to lay blame. SD made the game and got another year to refine it. And its not even close.

Its like Too Human all over again. Splash Damage is Silicon Knights.

Oh no you’re telling me I’m baiting them and expressing my anger? Really? How long did it take you to figure that out genius?

Yeh, surprisingly i’m pissed that I spend 40 quid on a game that I can hardly play. Next time you ever buy something broken in your life, you try not to complain pal. Ok?

(Brink Lags) #65

I don’t understand the people who can defend a broken product. MAybe if they gave the game away for free. But they charged $60 for a game they needed to fix and knew it was going to be broken at launch. They knew it. Its a crime.

(santo) #66

You’re first two points are common knowledge. Did you think you presented them with more class or (at least) formal language than previous (more helpful) posters. Its cool to rage, but can you at least do it on the constructive criticism threads. You’re blocking the way for people with new problems deserving of attention. Its sort of childish. On your last point: wrong in every aspect. 2 flanking routes is typical, especially for the tactical relevance the routes in brink hold. But for every map beyond the container city spawn, i can think of at least 3 routes. You’re f****n’ up, bro. including the main path, that’s 4 combat routes. 4 combat routes to spread over 8 players…well…as long as you’re not trying to play it like COD you can always find a highly relevant way to use those flanks.

Seriously though, please use one of the existing (more constructive) threads to rant so you don’t drown out more relevant and useful posts.

sorry. Your*.

I have a tip for the people who want to voice their opinions about the issues, try to do it in a way that isn’t so aggressive. I mean, did you really expect people to be polite to you with a title like you gave it? If you were more mature in the way you voiced your opinions, then the “fanboys” as you call them wouldn’t attacking you, and you attacking them. Also, there are about 100 different threads of people talking about issues and bugs in the game, why not take your voice there instead of creating a new thread about it?

Just some things to think about perhaps.

Oh, and I know the game has it’s issues, and don’t try to call me a fanboy or a “PC elitist”, I’m just trying to give you a tip that may actually get the results you want. Also, I play on my PS3 and my PC, and have played with friends on their 360, so I am fairly confident I know about many of the issues, that I agree do need to be fixed. It’s just the way you went about voicing your thoughts on the game that gets the responses you did.

(Brink Lags) #69

The game is aggressively laggy. I think that’s why the responses are aggressive in kind.

Its not like the game has a few hiccups. Its arguably broken.

The outrage suits the product.

(Wildkarrde) #70

Still nothings changed has it? tell us to stop moaning when the game is even reasonably fixed, I’m not asking for perfection or even a a totally 100percent perfect super magnificent stupendous fantastic terrific utterly uber lag free game. But SD/Bethesda have not delivered the goods I’ve paid for, I’d settle for brink being just disappointing, rather than the infuriating herpes infested lagfest some strange people seem to think I should applaud and as for being patient? sure then why don’t sd/Bethesda/anyone else refund my money then I will damn well buy the game if or when it’s in fit condition to be played.
And believe it or not I like the game I whine because I care.

(Swimmy) #71

Dude. This game has so many issues. The OP has a right to express it aggressively as long as hes not threatening anyone. Everyone with a working brain should be upset with this release. The game is CRAP. Which is why I traded it in. I will be first to admit that if they do a sequel I would consider buying it since they would be able to address and improve on every aspect of the game that went wrong.

But I actually find it amazing how clueless the brink fanboys are on this forum. It doesn’t matter how polite you say it . If you say this game sucks they go into a little nerd frenzy.

Along the lines of this

“Go back to COD”

“You just don’ts know how to playz it! UR playing it wrong. You have to put on specialzz glassez to play it right”

Messy game is a mess.

Worse then MW2/BO/Gothic 3 release together.

Seriously,i play video games for over 10 years now but THIS HERE,this is a really REALLY bad joke.

If Skyrim is also that messed up i’am gonna cry…
Definetly no first day buy anymore.Bethesda can suck it.

(sereNADE) #73

well people trade it in but still post in the forums… does this mean you will come back to playing the game after the fixes you need are implemented? :D:penguin:

Bethesda has to have the worst developing crew in the gaming industry.

Fallout, Oblivion are all good games. But the amount of minor and serious glitches in them is mind boggling. So its no surprise they screwed up on a lesser game like Brink
