This thread is pretty ridiculous and really should be locked. All you guys are just throwing feces at each other.
That said, I do empathize with RobbedCustomer. Brink was released in a terrible state for consoles. You can’t argue otherwise. When it works, it works wonderfully but that hasn’t been the general experience. The lag makes the game simply unplayable and I certainly didn’t sign up for 4x4 gameplay.
Left 4 Dead 2 was released in a similar state. The online lag was horrific at launch for consoles. I gave Valve the benefit of the doubt and they ended up making it work. I will do the same for SD but my patience is limited.
Honestly, I’m pinning the blame on Bethesda. I can’t believe anyone at SD with half a brain wanted this to ship as is. I think Bethesda wanted to avoid the COD vs Battlefield melee as well as not compete against Rage. And by their track record, they seem okay releasing half baked games. New Vegas was an abonimation. Some of the Fallout3 DLC was horrifically bugged and never patched. And now Brink.
Sigh, hopefully, we’ll have a patch this week but the clock is ticking. Duke Nukem is just around the corner and while the multiplayer may not be very good, I’m guessing you can at least play it.
