When is the suck going to end?

(RobbedCustomer) #1

Been playing this for nearly a week (360) and im pretty disgusted that any company would be happy to release anything in such a poor state.

For starters the graphical issues on the 360 are enough to make anyone turn it off straight away. All the textures fail to load when you enter new rooms, then take 5 seconds to load only to vanish and reload again as soon as you turn your head! Add on that everything past 5 metres in front of you is a blurry and pixel covered mess, it really just looks amazing on a big screen! But wait doesn’t stop there, get close up to an objective (lets use the crane on container city as an example) jeez the anti aliasing is horrific, get up close to that control panel in the crane and it will slice your eyes out with the jaggies!

Next on the list is the lag, for an online only game and a game that is bieng marketed as an online game, this is just full on retarded. So people on the consoles get screwed out of dedicated servers again, but thank god we’ve got P2P as we all know how well that works! Well done for selling a better product on the PC, though why did you even bother releasing it on consoles if you were going to do such a ****ty half assed job of it AND then have the cheek to release it early after so many delays?!

Lastly we can talk about the delays and dev lifespan. All I really need to say is that looking at all the videos of the years and watching the graphics quality and size of the environments drop is just crazy. From the layouts of the maps it seems like you guys started big then cut everything out of the maps, why? I’m not saying the maps aren’t good, just feels like they are really lacking in terms of content (only 8 is a joke), routes on the maps (you mean I get TWO whole flanking routes at every bottleneck?!) and just the general use of SMART as a whole. Now before all the fanboys get in here, yes I like the system, yes i’ve done some impressive kills and maneuvers with it, but does it feel more advanced than the stuff people usually pull off in an FPS using only crouch, sprint and jump? No not at all.

In short, should have cooked it for a lot longer SD and don’t hype up a game with excessive marketing when it can’t live up to it!

No point in moaning anymore mate, i don’t think publishers or developers care anymore, you can atleast trade your game in or sell it, us PC gamers are stuck with em as most games are locked to one account with a cd key required for online play. think yourself lucky you have that option.

(IG THOMBOW) #3

And another one. For ****s sake guys, go back to your little hole.

It’s only a couple of days after release (including a weekend since then), I’ll start getting worried in a week or 2 if there are no more patches, and in a month if the game isn’t finished and playable (fortunately I’m on PC and my only real issue is no sound on 2 maps).

I don’t think SD are the kind of people to walk away counting the money (Wolfenstein 2009 anyone?), so I’m still hopeful the game will shine in a week or 2, but they do need to get on the case, because time moves quickly and gamers are fickle …

HERP DERP OH NOES SUM1 THT DSNT LIKE UR PRESCIUS GAME!!!11111111111111 WOE IS ME.

Seriously mate, if you’d rather go talk about how amazing your copy of the game is the go do that. No need to pop in a thread about the suck that I am experiencing if you’re not experiencing any.

In short, maybe you should go back to your little hole? KTHNXBI

(RobbedCustomer) #8

I did and it has done nothing, probably made the long distance and close up graphical issues worse actaully.

(Niceperformancethere) #9

it wont end. SD doesnt care that they stole from us. This game runs like a POS and they lied about the real minimum requirements for this game.

(RobbedCustomer) #10

You should take the first swig pal, wouldn’t want to spread that nasty disease you’ve got.

(Trypsinogen) #11

Come on, man. We’re not complaining about nothing. There are serious legitimate problems with this game. It should’ve been in development for like another couple weeks or month at least. Splash Damage and Bethesda pushed Brink out of the nest waaay before it was ready to fly and now they’ve got to pay for what they’ve done.

(Wildkarrde) #12

Sadly i think we are the ones paying

(Protector) #13

Its gonna end when you stop whining and get yourself a system and internet connection that is worthy of this game. Cry elsewhere.

(scub) #14

yes some are legit issues but what everyone does not understand is it takes time to debug and test patches, GIVE THEM SOME TIME!!!

some people are way too demanding, rude, and expect to be pampered and they feel they are owed the world because they spent $50 on a game? $50 doesn’t even fill my gas tank up…

“RobbedCustomer” no one put a gun to your head to buy the game…

(Crytiqal) #15

Seriously, even that I don’t like consoles and I believe they make for dumbed down PC ports, I still believe they are entitled of at least a working game. If SD decided to release BRINK on the 360 then they obviously thought the console was worthy of running it. Otherwise they just shouldn’t have released it

(RobbedCustomer) #16

When was the last time that PC elitism was ever helpful? So you’re actually happy that SD released a poor game on consoles, because if you are that is really quite sad mate. I’d be pretty gutted for them to be honest, but good for you mate.

Your other point about the connection, you should really look through what is being posted in these threads, not everyone is in your wonderful PC boat.

The game is broken, but you’re just to ignorant to accept that not everyone is having the same experience you are, tard. :stroggtapir::stroggtapir::stroggtapir::stroggtapir::stroggtapir::stroggtapir::stroggtapir::stroggtapir::stroggtapir::stroggtapir::stroggtapir::stroggtapir::stroggtapir::stroggtapir::stroggtapir::stroggtapir::stroggtapir::stroggtapir::stroggtapir:

Right when you leave.

1: I guess the 360 wasn’t enough to run the awesomeness that is brink.
2: Lag is going to be fixed. Atleast it’s not like black ops when the bullet hits you 1 second after. And it’s only some matches.
3: Maps will probably be updated and added.
4: There are no fanboys. Brink isn’t a major franchise. And the game has been out for about a week.

Never demanded an instant fix… I do realize it takes time to release a patch, but like I said why release it if it wasn’t ready? They could have just used that time to test the game to make sure it was playable when it clearly isn’t.

Lastly, next time you buy something and you’re unhappy about it, don’t complain as it’s your fault, completely like it’s my fault I purchased a game that looked good and it turned out to be broken…hmmm wait…

Quick edit: Since when was it considered rude or demanding to post on a devs forum with feedback and hoping to get some feedback from them, jeez half of you sound like real wimps who have never dealt with other people XD

Edit: corrected spelling mistake as Zamininc has nothing to contribute other than point out a spelling mistake, cheers pal!
