As much as I hate to mention the competition, Crysis 2 twitter has been releasing in-house stuff on a weekly basis for months now… even if it’s just some dude dressed in a real life nanosuit. A lot of reliance on magazine interviews and very little official stuff released for Brink I’m sad to say. I don’t want to take tokamak’s whinge throne here, but it just makes me sadface… about 20 new articles, and 1 new piece of info :frowning:

I think the fact that all of the articles (I read a fair bit, but not nearly all) were really positive about the game is a very good sign. No one came out with even a slightly negative tone, and what complaints were written about were very minor.

Did anyone read a negative review? The least positive one I read was the X360 Acheivement preview, but almost all of the reader comments were overwhelmingly satisfying as a fan.

Andrea Rene, the gaming host that first told me of when the NDA was going to be lifted has tweeted to me that she is exporting Brink gameplay now … so we’ll see when it’s done.

Damn… I was looking forward to the NDA lift, and then we got like 3 piece of new information, no new gameplay footage or anything… Pretty disappointed by SD & Bethesda’s way of advertising so far

Same here man. I suppose that this is why they didn’t announce anything about it. Lots of games coming out by the time brink comes out. People tend to play a big variety of games so we better start showing this game out.
Crysis 2 even had their multiplayer demo out today.

You guys complain and complain that no one knows about this game, then when a good portion of the major video game websites out there post stories to spread the word to those people that don’t know about this game, you complain that there is nothing new in the content!? This media blitz was not for anyone that frequents this website, excepting the few people that stumbled upon this forum in the past day.

Understand the big picture before you rant about the niggling details.

If we’re bored of the same info, then larger websites with larger communities are bored of the same info and don’t want to post regurgitated material. It’s new info that makes the front pages, not the same stuff we knew about a year ago. Yes well done, getting word out… but get some NEW words out… do some research… get a SCOOP! Don’t be sheep and copy/paste what everyone else has said 10x over already.

I thought that was what journalism was? Copy/pasting someone else’s arguments and getting the facts skewed whether it be on purpose or accidentally? It’s been my experience of it when things about/near me have been reported on.

Was yelling this sooner, I’m gettin bored on this forum also (except when flamewar is on), because well, I’m bored, I like to read a lot and I spend many time on these forums, but lately I just look vaguely at the titles and say “meh, I’ll mark all these stuffs as read already”

Not SD fault as they are the only ones clearing some points from time to time, but this whole, lets lock the advertisement is kinda suicidal IMO.
