isn’t it splash damages call when to release the beta to fileplanet not fileplanet? i would think when splash gives the go, no matter the day fileplanet will do it. would think they want all that money from 50k keys sold in like 3 hours.

No, it’s up to Activision and maybe id Software when anything gets released, afaik they have nothing to do with releases (other than finishing game :wink:)

QW section will most likely open when there is actual open beta/finished product. Closed betas have their own forums for feedback. Or if there is no NDA, they might open it with this beta too.

fileplanet had a quake wars update today on their main page (just pointing out old files)
and while it doesn’t mean there’s a beta this weekend, i think its a good sign. :slight_smile:

hope they handle it better than the LOTR beta, took 5 tries on 3 comps to actually get full download, 4 tries just stopped after around 3.6 gig

you should use that fp download manager, which can resume when the network times out.

no thanks, download managers are usually more trouble than anything else, THEY should have better server management, nothing failed at my end

and the LOTR was North America only, can’t imagine what will happen with QW worldwide beta
