whats with afk players..

i just played a round of wolf:et, and again as usual there were afk players…
but for the life of me, i do not understand how and or why players do that…

i have played games where a player is afk for more than 2 maps… just a
lifeless character standing in the spawn…

i mean… do they just finish a map, then get up and goto the store, or go
watch tv and totally forget their computer is still on and the games connected
to a server?

just a gripe… but its one that confuses me to no end…

EDIT:
lol… for some reason now, i can hear jerry seinfeld in my head saying,
“whats the deal, with afk players…”

Why close a game if you can run 385 games and programs at the same time?

well I occasionally do it, my parents call me to dry the dishes so i say brb, cause it normally takes 5 minutes, but then just as I am done drying the dishes I walk through the lounge and see something nice on tv, so i stay and watch it, meanwhile I am still on ET…

But no I am not some spoilt shit who got a pc bought for him, had towork for the money.

I don’t mind if there are any AFK players, as long as the server is not too busy and are spectator.

lmao, but yea, as long as their just spec on a not full server. Its a pain when the only ppl on your team are afk, so you can’t even the teams because they’re standing there doing nothing. :x

WAY TOO MANY AFK PLAYERS! I think they should be put in spectator until they are back.

well… yes, we should do something with them, so we do pester the admins if
any are on… and if theres none, then usualy i would see which wierd area i
can get him tossed into with properly placed nades at his feet… ( just for fun… )

providing providing ff is off of course…

but its the reason why he/she’s afk which is confusing… did he/she make some
mad dash to the kitchen and while returning slipped on the stairs and now is
a crumpled mess laying in a puddle of pepsi and a squashed pizza-pop unable
to get on the computer to continue?

it’s just one of those confusing things.
