What's the best way to get suspect cards? Cases, or boosters?

(ProfPlump) #1

I know we don’t have confirmed stats of how much these boosters help, but let’s just go off the opinions of the masses and hope that it’s a good enough sample size to interpret the stats of the boosters…

Option 3 - wait for the 7PM GMT stream to see what SD says about boosters

(ProfPlump) #3

Did they say that they’re going to explain it? News to me, but good news I must say - it’s bullshit how they open up with stuff for us to buy without actually detailing exactly what it does.

(ImSploosh) #4

Well considering how awful the chances are with normal cases and boosters apparently don’t work, I think it’s best to just wait and see if they’ll actually explain how everything works.

It sucks knowing that they see what people are saying, but don’t give any insight. I’ve been checking the threads about boosters and have yet to see any response- at least one regarding the boosters actually working.

Not explicitly, but the amount of people with boosters and >99% chance of a card drop (based on what we were told before the event) is staggering. The issue will be hard to ignore during the stream. Exedore also said he’ll try to give us today a more detailed information how boosters work.

This rotation has 3 of my 4 favourite mercs so i wanted a stack of loadout cards. Still waiting on my first one. Guess I’m going to have to save up and buy week 1 cases at the end of the event unless some news comes about the boosters that helps.

Nothing because the ones are not worth it and the other are bugged.

(ProfPlump) #8

…wat.

Which ones are not worth it, and which ones are bugged? And how and why are they not worth it and/or bugged?

I wish there was an opposite to the ‘insightful’ button, because I need it right now.

Well you could watch through the popular “Boosters not working” Thread and inform yourself.
Boosters are not working, and 350 cycles for 1% drop rate isn’t worth it.

Apparently they do work.
After having a total amount of ten boosters and playing ten objective games I finally got a guaranteed case.
However, considering that every booster costs around 10k credits I don’t feel like it’s worth it.

If you paid 100k for 10 boosters and you got one event case, that’s about the same cost that it takes to by 100 suspect cases and therefore on average get 1 suspect loadout card from them (since it’s a 1% chance of getting a sus loadout).

100 cases at 1% = 64% chance for a card. Suspect cases cost 350 cycles = 3200-3500 credits.

Have you ever had 10 games without a normal case? They supposed to be the exact same droprate at 10 boosters.

(AlphaUT) #14

You need to spend 12500 on booster to get MAX stacks, and after that it only means you will have the same drop rate as regular case. which also means you need to depend on RNG. AND
RNG in this game is BS. 12500 = 35 cases. Think about it before you buy booster.

(MatteMG) #15

It’s technically more money efficient to buy the boosters but you may get lucky with the equipment cases.

(FalC_16) #16

apparently no news from the stream.

as per our experience, when SD screwed up, they compensated people. If they don’t this time, we riot.

There was news on the stream.

Basically the guy groping himself said that they’re working, just not as advertised to the player base.

Ummm… What? Your calculations are definitely off…
How does opening 100 cases at 1% end up giving you 64% chance…?

(reciprocal) #19

null
(1-(0.99)^(100))*100%=63% approximately
