I agree banning might be a little much over this, but I would like to see roll backs happening. Like others have said, sure, levels mean nothing - but this sort of thing happening means that if levels ever do mean something, whatever that reward is gets devalued by people having abused a glitch.
Not rolling back is pretty much sending out the wrong message to people. Yes, other things are “more important” but this shouldn’t be a huge thing to do, just to echo this:
Well people keep citing “it’s just levels” but it’s also a lot of free cases if you recall. 30 easy levels=30 free cases.

Agreed, though, cases don’t get me excited, but “that one guy” who cheated up 10 levels and inevitably got a cobalt for his favourite class… man, fuck that guy.
i watched a stupid guy who broadcasting on steam.
first he used the exploit to bring him at level 12+.
then he started searching for cheats (steam streams the desktop while game is in background).
now, he is cheating for a while.
i think, the level is a little part of the reputation of a player.
so, i would prefer a rollback and a suspension for some days.

Level always was a “cover” for players(or cheaters) for skill or just another point to look at his “glorious skill”.

What Do you expect? People living on this lying, cheating, slimy side of life will ever cheat, if the possibility of beeing detected is low, and their gain, even if it is only virtual, will mean something to them.
You may argue that most of them xp-cheaters here are only kids, and their personality/character isn’t consolidated, yet. But that would even more call for a penalty, doesn’t it?
But when this “little bit of” exploiting is handled as beeing a “little bit” pregnant… we will see, how the child will grow up.

Achievements are nothing to say about.
Maybe give them 50% credit income for 5 months even with missions.

Btw guys this is still a Beta and we are talking about an exploit that gave them no advantage whatsoever. They might have even lost more games thanks to this. Why would you care about other peoples levels.
Banning people for using a bug in a beta while there are tons of actual cheaters in the game that are not being banned would be insanely unfair.

So do not call it exploit. Exploits give any advantage(even a little) which is not meant by devs.

Xp is also an advantage(more cosmetical than non-cosmetical) but still is.
Nothing needs to be done. Does not affect gameplay unless it affects matchmaking which we’ll never know.

i expect nothing from the people. it’s just my funny story of the day.
The guys who did this got: XP, Credits and cases.
With high levels comes their ability to more mask hacks
with credits they can buy more mercs and cards
with cases they get cards which even if are low they will still be able to trade up with the credits they got.
I say delete all the progress these exploiters achieved in the time they were starting exploiting until they stopped.
I too hope that the XP gets rolled back. I don’t want to see anybody banned permanently over it but I would like levels to at least somewhat show an accurate representation of time spent playing even if it’s not a very good representation of skill.
At least this is mostly a non-issue as levels weren’t tied to much beyond some extra cases and irrelevant numbers. Just annoying to watch people do it in server.
Like 30% of the DB polulation tried and/or abused this bug including myself. I got 280k exp and it’s pretty low compared to others. I even spent more time trying to figure it out how it worked than using it.
But because i was level 23.5 (now 24.5) before it, i really don’t care if rollback or not… Gonna loose half a rank and a lead card : D And i joined -4 players server to do it and 99% of people were already doing it. I pissed of nobody.
Devs have more maters to deal with than lurking XP abuse in their data.
The only thing that worry me a bit is the level 10 server minimum that doesn’t mean any thing any more for people that really abused it…

Min level 10 never really separated the skill in the first place anyways. Flawed logic from the ground up. It has generally played the same whether I join min lvl 10 or normal pubs. That has been true for several weeks.

Also, people fuck around in the game so much already, not everyone is a tryhard like me : P
Imo its not worth the trouble, and the 30% statistic is complete bull; would be surprised if more than 2-3% of playerbase ever bothered.
