What's behind the "Containment Shield" that CDA tries so hard to protect.

From time to time when i’m playing this game. From one map to another. I have a feel like Jackal is getting more and more closer to destroy the “C-Shield” And uncover whats behind it. And i’m starting to raise more question. Whats behind these wall. What are CDA “really” try to protect/contain behind these walls. even though it’s obvious that they try to protect the outside from radiation n’ stuff. But what are they really trying to protect? Secret military project? Sensitive information documents? Or even something more “Sinister” than we ever
think off?

I guess the only time will tell.

Anyways anyone who reading this. Feel free to post your theory and comments down below. I really want to know how do you think about all of this.

The whole DB setting and events were one massive simulation, just like in Westworld.

And mercs are kept in SD HQ’s basement :wink:

You must’ve not looked at what’s going on in Containment War’s event

In Dirty bomb’s timeline, titular Dirty Bomb detonated in London, killing many, leaving many without jobs and ruining the city. The Mercs are paid by the CDA to protect their assets (Defense) or by Jackal to steal valuable assets (Attackers).
In the case of the Containment shield, Containment war’s event explains that the shield serves both to stop the radiation in said shield, and to actually even drain it.

Unlike normal security, your mercs are being paid by the ass-loads for the possible risks of radiation poisoning.

Jackal are probably using the radiation for their benefits, if the CDA contain the radation, less places for Jackal to loot valuable data from, if the CDA removes all the radiation, Jackal can’t work out in the open.

Frankly, I’m a tad disappointed that we don’t really get to see any actual “radiation”
Best we got are those toxic gases in Underground and Terminal, but those aren’t really radioactive either (ya can’t drain radiation like it’s your bathtub).

Perhaps Stoker’s sociopathic demeanor suggest that he’s affected by radiation poisoning, but what about all the other natives?

hmm, where to start

the radiation from a dirty bomb (radioactive material wrapped around conventional explosives) comes in the form of particles formed by the explosion, these can be removed by a pump/vacuum and filtered away so the “gases” certainly can be radioactive as well as most surfaces

Nail pretty much explained why and Stoker doesn’t seem to be much of a psychopath, no more than other mercs. He seems to use the grenades he has as a practical means after his first hand experience with an incendiary strike. As for the others, evacuation or death. Nader and her wife evacuated from their home in London, Proxy managed to create a homemade vent to drain out the radioactive parcticals from her home, judging by some spray paint on building doors (If memory serves correctly), people have been found dead in buildings barred off. Tagged with FEMA markingd, also, many maps have visible body bags, with ny guess for underground being that Jackal are having you drain water into what basically id servering as a mass grave, contaminating it.

I used to think that the dirty bombs were just a narrative justification to have a bunch of immigrants shoot each other for an obtuse currency, while leaving civilians out of the equation. Now I feel kinda bad for the world of DB.

the thing is there is a difference between Nuclear Bomb and Dirty Bomb

While nuclear bomb designed for total annihilation of everything in its radius, Dirty Bomb is most of the time designed for maximum panic to the population, this include what you see green-yellow dust particle.

there is no nuclear fallout in case of Dirty Bomb event, since dirty bomb attack is usually an explosive used to spread irradiated material

ive read about it that the radiated dust particle can be colored while the area is being quarantined so its easily distinguished from normal dust in the environment.

also, there is an asian guy tried to find out what happen if you exposed to massive irradiated dust/water/air the subject body is decaying inside out and the skin is peeled by itself

probably shouldnt post it but its for science…
