I’m too lazy to repeat everything once again, so I quote myself here: http://forums.warchest.com/showthread.php/36022-Sustaining-fun?p=446840&viewfull=1#post446840
What we want for DB
Yup pretty much going to copy rex here, and just quote myself from the same thread with that monster post… although at the time of writing compared to now 1 or 2 things have been implemented like crouch jumping… the main bulk of this feedback still applies right now.
Audio who fit the ROF ! 1 shot = 1 sound ! sounds to much like a fake right now
You heard like you shoot million of bullet then you shoot only 3 shots … like in Brink …
To much brink stuff in this game right now.
this is 1 really important point I’m agree with Ashog
mouhahahahaha ! already quoted you for your massive list !
but that’s an important point I think, I play some few others games during the week, DB and Brink are the only ones with an audio who don’t fit the ROF. And that’s really annoying and disturbing, you don’t know really when your shot is fired. This audio trick just don’t work at all
Sound = info
1 shot = 1 sound !
I just want to see something new and innovative to fill the holes in my expectations from previous titles and further those elements that carried over to DB. I want a complex (albeit easy to grasp) high skilled class based shooter that has the flexibility and dynamism to play out differently every time, and that offers a ton of mini-learning curves to maintain personal goals to work towards.
Have you thought about how the game will play for people who only have access to a single merc for each class? I’m afraid that gadgets will overtake class roles  and that would be really bad news.
yeah that’s a problem, but a different one. The diversity is there but it is artificially castrated. I also wish all loadouts were avi in a match…

If it is in Brink and was not even patched afterwards, then i wonder how SD thinks about this, as they offered this as final so to say.
That is worrying if it was in Brink, but recently some weapons seem to be made fit the ROF, although i always wondered if it is still just a (longer) tape record with multiple shots which gets played when a shot is fired, which would mean that it is possible that there might still be a little time difference between shot and audio (albeit a little one).
I think it should be deadly accurate. W:ET had a simple audio, 1 shot was laying on harddrive to be played whenever a shot was fired. That gave good accuracy compared to a longer tape with multiple shots.
I believe the audio doesn’t match right now because its a lot of work to change it while ROF is very easy to tweak.
Nope that feel the audio design choice like in Brink ! pretty sure about this
After noticing my list was quite long the two main things I’d like to see in the short-term are:
- Longer firefights
- Fix team skins / lighting issues
What linux users want:
- Linux client
What I want:
- Working linux client before release
- Random / different weather (rain, storm, normal, snow, acid rain, etc.)
Unreal engine isn’t Linux friendly, things could change but pretty sure it’s not in the works atm
Linux client? Making an OS X client would make sense but Linux? Tell me how many PCs run Linux. Less than 2%?
Linux server bins is another thing, it is just a must
