My god! Every time I try to join a server, it’s a freaking six map campaign! Or even worse, it’s a ten map campaign.

Are there any three map campaign server’s left? I played on one last night I think?!?!?!

how about 3 4-map campaigns w/ some custom maps?

would that satisfy, or are you adament about the 3-mappers?

i like 6 map campaigns, but i agree that they can take too long to play, but i wanted to mix it up a bit on my server so ia added 6 custom maps and made 4map rotations, i tried to even the map difficulties to be similar in each individual campaign. and had the intention for a person to jump in play a couple of hours and be able to jump out and kinda not leave a disadvantage to the remaining players.

but, these are my thoughts… :cool:

Oh, I thought I would be the only one noticing that and getting majorly frustrated about it…
What’s so exciting about 6 map campaigns? After four or five maps everyone has all his stats maxed out, wow, what an accomplishment. :confused: You can’t be proud of anything anymore, not even about owning the opponent because it might just be XP inbalance. Also it usually becomes spam wars.
I’ll never understand what’s so bad about starting with 0 XP every once in a while.

Actually a 4 map campaign sounds like a good idea.
Take out Railgun and Radar (my 2 least favorite maps) and I’m game

If anyone knows of a server like this please post the ip.

campaign 1-oasis,battery,apennines,goldrush
campaign 2-radar,railgun,fueldump,carnage2
campaign 3- rhine2,beach,normandy_final,dday_nw

flughafen will go back in the rotation when drakir modifies it for time limit,
desert fortress will probably go back at that time too.

then the order will probably be-

oasis,battery,desert fortress,goldrush
apennines,flughafen,fueldump,carnage2
rhine2,beach,normandy_final,dday_nw

don’t forget that campaigns have to start with certain maps, though. customs might not be a valid campaign start map… :bump:

Since my fav server is down at the moment (The ETPro listed in my sig), I’ve had to play on standard campaign servers this weekend (seems to be a lack of good Stopwatch servers at the moment) and I have to say how horrible they all are, especially the 6-map+ servers. We really need a quick and easy way to exclude these. I think it’s possible with custom filters in ASE, so maybe I’ll have a look into it.

I was rapidly getting pissed off with the whole XP system, even on 3-map Campaign servers. I liked it when the game first came out, but going back to Campaign servers after weeks of no XP on ETPro, it’s reminded me how horrible the whole thing is. I got so pissed off with ET this weekend I spent more time playing RTCW.

Can’t wait for the ETPro server to be back up so I can get on and play ET with proper teamwork and objectives, without all this silly and unnecessary XP shit getting in the way.
