What player will you try to avoid

(X_RedShadow_X) #1

Lots of talk about what class people will be, but what class will you not want to run into.

I would have to say heavy engineer, if they are able to find a defensive spot with a mini gun and set up a turret it could be trouble.

Obviously there won’t be an unstoppable class, and a heavy engineer could be stopped with just about any class if done right, but just wondering what people think

9 days!!!

All the bad players

(minininja) #3

operative in disguise that would be fricken scary oh and do you live in the UK? and also are you going to be on xbox

Obviously the fags that jump over **** then drop shot me and my heavy weapons awesomeness

I’m always a bit worried about snipers in a new game, especially since i don’t know the map and what areas are killzones for snipers. That wouldnt be a concern in brink (with the lack of one shot kills) if it wasnt for the fact that you move so slowly. Also, heavies with grenadelaunchers, for the same reason.

Yes i know, the movement issue again - i’m on a crusade.

Yeah obviously you’ll progress the same as everybody else. There probably wont be any established routes, kill-zones, camp areas etc. until about a week later and that’ll probably mean you could find counters too.

I’m really worried about the abusive use of the free running and nobody playing engineer and medic classes which will prove to be useful like reviving and creating turrets.

Since I will be rolling a heavy medic my main concern is going to be the little lightweight classes. I assume it could be something along the lines of a raven running in circles around an atlas blasting it (MechAssault). Maybe not quite that bad, but I’m sure the lighter weight will give them a significant mobility advantage over us heavies.

You’re right though. You effectively take more damage from everything when you’re so easy to hit, which can encourage camping and generally stale gameplay because advancing is seen too risky.

Grenade launcher nabz.

(Whydmer) #11

What players will I try to avoid…? Probably the ones trying to shoot me.

(BiigDaddyDellta) #12

I plan on switching between lightweight soldier and medic. If I play engineer I’ll prolly use medium to heavy but I’m all about the mobility and until I fully understand the game I can’t really make a specific choice. I haven’t really played anything like this before since I’m a console guy. If I’m scared of anyone it would prolly be a heavy medic with buffed damage.

(Ragoo) #13

This. Really nothing more annoying than bashing newbies. There is just no satisfaction when you beat players that didn’t ever stand a chance :frowning:

(TiN TiN) #14

Any heavy with a minigun when I have low health.

(tokamak) #15

Those with obnoxious large signatures.

(Jess Alon) #16

I think any set up can be a threat played properly. A light soldier could devastate people with molotovs and grenades thrown from above followed up with closing in for the kill with their close range weaponry.

A light engineer could be AS effective as the heavy by placing turrets high up and placing mines to protect them and then flanking enemies that move to disable those turrets.

A heavy medic could turn the tide on the fight by running in and bringing half his team back to life before the opposition can gun him down.

I think any combination can work depending on the player’s style.

(RAAAAAAAAAAGE) #17

Luckily Brink Has solved this for you with the matchmaking system  Hopefully anyway. I spose just cause they’re the same rank doesn’t mean they’re as good as you.

I’d hate to run into anyone better than me… so i guess i’ll only be playing against bots.

(Prividyenie) #18

I am not liking the look of trying to take down heavy engineers. They seem to be the class that does everything. Going up against a defending team of engineers/medics is my nightmare.

(trollface) #19

Most ignorant and most senseless comment of the day award. Good Job!

I guess im trying to say that surely there are more annoying things than dominating other players.

(Chili Squirts) #20

Operatives that continuously spot my mines and EMP my turrets.
