But comp can be hell with hackers at times.
Playing with and against other people on ts.
Playing against randoms who I don’t know or remember is boring and there are no named/admined servers to congregate on.
Easy, this isn’t my main game. I come here to kill people for fun. I also play , Warframe, and on occasion Guild Wars 2 (which I might be playing more if certain people take advantage of it going F2P).
Pugs.
It’s fun, it’s organised, people actually talk and communicate. I recommend it if you’re tired of playing with Johnny Noname and Skyman the Notorious Anti-Ammo Campaigner.
I don’t need motivation to play. Dirty Bomb is one of the few games out there that I actually play because I simply enjoy it…not for any progression, lore, or character building. I just play to blow people and stuff up.
hrm… i enjoy the game because I enjoy playing to get better. I’m one of those players who finds it like a “minigame” to get those headshot sounds so for me that’s all it takes hehe. Also learning the different mercs is fun… and of course… youtube!

How do you play pugs?

It’s 5v5 competitive format, DBN uses Highlander rules and friendly fire is on so be careful with that, but for joining check out DBNation’s website, or go straight to their pug channel on Teamspeak at ts.dbn.gg - there’s usually pugs on every night, yesterday we had around 30+ people in the channel, was great.
I play to try and get better…I probably fail pretty badly at that attempt but I still try! Partially the reason why I picked up DB was to get better at shooters since I’m looking forward to Battlefront in the future. (Last time I played a competitive shooter was like probably a half decade ago with Battlefront 2)
Those rare times at pub when your team actually work together. Also playing against friends and then sticking it in their face when I kill them :#
I keep playing Dirty Bomb, because I find it fun to play.
That’s the biggest reason why I continue playing this game.
I also like how this game gives me a chance to pick up favorite characters from different kind of mercs and I can perform my own playingstyle.
Also new content is getting added to the game with quite nice speed.
I come from Battlefield Heroes where updates and bug fixes were so slow that it took almost a year to get one bug fixed. Developers couldn’t even finish the game and last workbench for a weapon was still with status “coming soon” at the moment when the game got closed.
That game taught me a lot patience and that might be a reason why I can’t understand these people who are saying that this game gets slowly updates.
Also what comes about competitive scene that we had in previous game, for some reason people argued that competitive scene didn’t even exist. No matter how many tournaments we organized, still people kept telling us we don’t exist.
But competitive scene in Dirty Bomb does exist and clans are definitely alive.
Here I can openly say that I’m a clan player without getting a lot of crap to my shoulders.
In Dirty Bomb I can have fun and get some competition. I’m definitely looking forwards for coming tournaments.
But what comes about the motivation why I keep playing this game, I want to become better.
The best player itself is relative, because every time you think that someone is the best, always comes someone who is even better.
My goal is not becoming the very best player. I just want to beat my own limits and become better player than I was yesterday.
I play because i find dirty bomb fun game. Its pretty much the same reason why people start to play games in the first place, to have fun (which does not always mean “ha ha ha fun” but FUN that you can get from playing horror, action, story or anykind of game)
Pretty much the same reason why people still play counter strike, its fun and they want to learn more. (well some of them atleast and then there are people that are now stuck in the trading lands)
I enjoy pumping hot lead into the flesh and bone of my fellow human.
in the game of course.
