What map you hate the most?

(Miraun) #21

Chapel. It feels like a slow grindy slaugtherhouse.

(DucklingJuggler) #22

Voted for Chapel but I’m not a huge fan of Bridge either. Apart from not really liking the map itself I’m just not a huge fan of the EV objectives.

(The_Ancient) #23

Definately Chapel

(Privateer) #24

I think Terminal has a bunch of problems, so that’s the one I voted for. All the entrance points for the last objective’s building are too small and easy to camp for both sides. I also think Trainyard is too slanted to blitzkrieg rush. And if that early rush fails it either turns into a back-and-forth around the first objective with neither side gaining ground or a spawncamp.

(kritzcake) #25

Trainyard for one thing: Skyhammer’s paradise.

(BanHammer) #26

This.

(Aazhyd) #27

I tried playing Arty on Underground. A died a few times trying to aim the artillery strike.
I think there’s about 1 (useless) spot that he can target. It’s depressing.
I have to go with chapel. It’s a horrible meat grinder the entire way for the attacking team.

For the EV portion, there are several excellent choke points for the defenders. EV goes down at those points, and it’s another desperate struggle to repair the EV. At the EV destination, the defending spawn is so close that it’s an even worse grind if the EV goes down just outside the objective.

For the EMP delivery portion, the defending spawn is extremely close to the objective and runs the entire length of the main “room”. This means defenders not only spawn right next to the obj, but can monitor every possible route easily and respond to any push immediately.
That’s actually the reason I like that map pretty heavily. It’s the only map where ground war isn’t limited to very specific choke points. And while the last bit is easy to defend, it’s not impossible to win as attackers by any stretch. A really balanced map IMO

(Ghosthree3) #29

Pretty much this except the last point isn’t as hard to attack as most people think. If you line up a proper airstrike or laser, or two of them in crossfire, it pretty much guarantees you’ll clear a lot of it out and at the very least flushes them into the open for shooting. Once you’ve moved in to where the objective is you can hold it forever if you have health and ammo, it’s so easy to cut defenders off as they come up over the wall.

(GeekyNerd_FTW) #30

Trainyard by FAR, always get spawn camped as attacker

(Whens_Phoenix) #31

I’m warming up to it but I still think chapel is a gigantic meat-grinder. On the other side I love maps like the last part of underground where several side-objectives make approaches easier. Chapel needs something like that, not just LMGs in weird positions to shoot the defenders in the back.

(Boto 1ava) #32

Underground is just a boring map you have to plant c4 on two obj then you’re done. I also never liked the fact that it was really attacker sided and along with roof rushed on the first obj it kinda gets irritating

(Ghosthree3) #33

Chapel is really good at for grinding out any kind of mission.

(frankPuppy) #34

Dirty bomb has some of the best maps I have played in any game, they are all incredibly well structured. Yes they arn’t perfect but they are all pretty damn good if you ask me. I guess I had to pick Trainyard as it is fairly long range which I don’t like personally, also the last part is near impossible without extreme teamwork. Same with chapel but I enjoy that map more personally. I think it would be better if only have to deliver one objective.

(glamorousSapling) #35

Underground if I’m defending. It’s impossible to defuse a plant on the second zone if it’s set on the left ramp facing the gas room.

Probably either the second half of Chapel or the third objective of Trainyard if I’m attacking. Running into open-air choke points is fun.

(Lispy) #36

Trainyard just feels like a defender paradise.

(STOGE) #37

I’m suprised Chapel has such a high percentage, easily my favorite map in the game. Each to their own I guess.

(Mr.Dubstab) #38

I hate bridge and will never play it…

If you have 2 medics and 1 Rhino on the defend side, you automaticly lost as an attacker. Absolutely no chance you’ll even get the first objective done…

(MethodOwn) #39

If I join a server to find myself stuck on Attacking team and Trainyard is the map I just leave and find a new server. It’s even worse than Bridge.

(Lispy) #40

I agree, I love Chapel because of all the trick jumps and chances to flank your enemy. It is my favorite map actually.
