Some coral reef island based map, would be a blast for the eyes IMO, but anyway, get a good gameplay first… map / fancy / hype should allways come after that!

Large Hadron Collider map(underground building),

An intelligent group of terrorist scientists have taken over and are attempting to use the structure to create a temporal micro black hole flux vector. The LHC was shut down some time ago, due to the indisputable realization of a unpreventable dooms day scenario. If the terrorists win, they will have the power to create a temporary micro black hole at any location, or place in time, making it the ultimate tool of destruction with the power to level cities in seconds. The terrorist scientists have gone though many generations of research to develop this weapon and are the only ones who know how to turn the LHC into a weapon.

It hasn’t been done, and tbh I think I would play a game that just revolves around the LHC. Like Half-life’s resonance cascade.

I thought of this scenario too,

The first and only underwater community. Many wealthy and elitist individuals live here out of danger to the rest of the world. Terrorists are not happy with that and want to make a point that you can’t hide from us.

And perhaps a small reference to this :smiley:

I don’t visit that side of Leeds much plus I dont like Football, more likely to find me at Headingley, and regarding Brink well I don’t like idea of a Dress me up Barbie game mixed with an fps, I wouldn’t mind so much but it’s looking like the fps part is getting dumbed down in the name of mass appeal, yay!

asd well as degree of scalability of this per-match/server.

p.s.
“complex” mean something crazy complex enough to compete with some custom/users-made maps/campaings for OFP:R/Arma/Arma2.
or at least, retain ETQW level.

Just noticed something in the title of the thread, “official” thought that boat sailed along with the old ET:QW forums, official doesn’t equate quality, there were 12 official maps in ET:QW and only about 3 or 4 of them were any good…

i disagree.
all ETQW-official maps are designed for various-ways-gameplay and IMO, is well-made.
point is in different mood and under other reasons, different playrs value different aspects of gameplay/mapdesign.
for example, most hateful Quarry map, where good GDF team can really shine and really enjoy playtime, if know how.

I would love to see an underground map, especially a prison. Only problem is objectives would probably be harder.

I would love to see one on a stormy night in a rainstorm [edit:] thunder included (with waves crashing against the Ark), possibly tons of flood lights or w/e to add awesome contrast.

In general I’d love to see maps with no major advantage to either side, whether height or asymmetrical advantage.

This is not hypocritical to the previous statement, but I would like to see tons of jump spots, but well balanced for both sides. Especially the high ground were only accessible to the Light/Regular, because we all know Heavies will be able to create death funnels out of almost any situation, so as many flanking routes as possible would be appreciated.

Not simple high spots for camping, but routes that just happen to only be accessible to Light/Normal

I want maps that have multiple modes of being traversed. Trick spots don’t really exist, but possibly ones that put the flanker at high risk for a short duration, but in the lucky event that no one passes or the other team is too lazy camping to watch all points of entry, the jump can pay off.

As few death funnels as possible pl0x: frontline fighting is reliant upon only aim and spam until someone breaks through the center.

I agree with you.

Back to the topic, this map i called it “Lighthouse”.
The story is The Resistance planning a full scale attack and try to trigger a people power march. They must have a signal and the Resistance choose ARK’s lighthouse as their main signal. The Security must stop them from activating the lighthouse and destroy the lighthouse if necessary

But my point was to highlight the stupid demand already for more official content in the guise of super cool map ideas you would want to be made into official content thread, I just hope Brink is not going to end up like ET:QW with no one playing customs cause they ‘wish new official maps’…

easy now. volcano was a quality map and ark was ok. rest of the mentioned - not so much ^_* but don’t touch my dear volcano!
