What kind of official level or map that you want in BRINK?

(maggol) #1

This thread is focused mainly on what kind of map that you want in BRINK. The map that you post must be based on BRINK backstory and if you want you can post a screenies too.

For example, my map is something like based on Killzone 2 map (wasteland bullet) or something like old map for UT2004 (AS-Convoy).

The story is Security must protect a high valueable next gen computer that being transported to The ARC HQ, The Resistance must steal it from them using hijacked train and they just have 10 minute before the train reach ARC HQ.

That’s about my map, how about you?

Salvage from ET:QW “;D” best map.

I want q3dm17… in the sea!

I want a map based on The Rock! Need to storm Alcatraz (blow the entrance), steal the launch codes (cap docs) and blow up the chemical weapon (blow objective). First objective start at the bottom sewers and last is on the roof.

Erm, floating island theme, maybe something like Maridia from ET:QW or the Battle of Wolken maps in ET…

(Seanza) #6

Get involved Chris, please!

Maybe working on something more super awesome by time Brink comes out and to honest, more I read these forums the less interested I become in Brink.

Supply depot

Watermelon farm.

Escort Professor Flugenhogen to the sciencefacility to save his mutant tapir, which has
important data planted in his trunk.
This involves a submarine, swiss cheese, a sciencefacility and a mutant tapir.

I think I’d really like a beachhead or something along those lines.

mp_beach from RTCW +1! xD

I don’t understand the game or story enough to suggest objectives etc., but I have a map idea.

I would like a daytime map, set in windowed spaces under the ocean - the sunshine streaming through the water past the fish and sea creatures and into the windows. I would want it to have several floors in open convergence on an open space (e.g. an Atrium), which would allow for plenty of vertical gameplay and level navigation. It should also have tunnels/corridors of complex geometry so that players skilled in SMART could “escape/disappear” because they were faster/better at navigating the environment.

Whatever level is created, it must be done so with maximum opportunity for SMART (auto or manual) movement.

Great speculation thread, and though I suspect SD is done with most of the rough level design, they might get some useful ideas here for the final game, or if not, for DLC. WOO!

ever play Lighthouse on W:ET? It was a pretty cool idea, but I don’t think it held up well as far as balance (to hard to attack)? Only played it a couple of times because nt very many servers ran it.

I think we all agree on the fact that we all want variety ! So far all screenshots are showing more or less the same thing again & again (maybe it’s only a single map used on all screen). I’m a bit afraid that the Ark will look the same on every map.
Plus, the storyline is about 1-2 weeks according to SD staff, so we won’t be able to go across different seasons, so there won’t be snow map for example :frowning:

It’s been stated multiple times, that all the maps will have unique looks and feel.

anything small and furious;

most of comp RTCW maps apply here; specifically mp_beach and tc_base.

I have another idea for a map

This map is located on ARC’s sea world, that located 50 meter underwater (imagine like Rapture from Bioshock but with ARC style).

The story is The resistance are desperate because their fight is rendered useless and in a desperate way, they are holding hostages mostly children that come to see the sea world and planning to blow all of hostages with a bomb if their demand is not fullfilled by ARC authority. The security must fight their way to sea world and rescue all hostages and disarm the bomb.

So, what do you think? A little bit have a sense of controversial:cool:

Activision headquarters still need a completed map before I can blow them up without ending in jail.

I don’t think the Resistance are terrorists. If they needed their demands fulfilled, they would fight and get them themselves. I don’t think they would resort to taking children hostage and threaten to blow them up.
